This custom-fit T-connector plugs into your vehicle's wiring harness, which is located behind the driver's-side and passenger's-side tail lights. You will have to remove the tail light assemblies, storage trays, and some interior paneling to access this harness. Once you've plugged in the connector, run the red hot lead up to your car battery. Connect the included fuse holder, and then connect the fuse holder to the positive terminal on your battery.
Once installation is complete, the 4-way connector will be stowed in your rear cargo area.
It is recommended that you use a small amount of grease on all electrical connections - the plugs on your automobile and the 4-pole connector itself - to help prevent corrosion.
A tail light converter is built into this T-connector. This converter is a battery-powered unit that bypasses the electrical routes that are used by a basic wiring harness. As a result, there is virtually no draw on your tail light circuits.
Because most trailers run on a two-wire system - wherein the brake and turn signals are carried on one wire - the separate brake and turn signals from your vehicle's three-wire system need to be combined so they are compatible with the wiring system of the trailer. This converter combines the brake and turn signal functions of your automobile so that they run on one wire to properly activate your trailer's tail lights. Note: This will not affect how the tail lights on your vehicle operate.

Good products.
Worked for about a month. Now only the left side light is illuminated and it is always illuminated until you unplug it. Doesn’t matter which trailer I plug in, the fault is always the same. No fuses are burned out and the wiring is not damaged. This is the same issue I had with the last wiring harness I purchased here, except that one lasted about a year. Very unfortunate and costly.
Product was an exact fit for my 2014 Kia Sorento. Video was easy to follow for installation

Great, exactly what was needed.
I purchased a class III hitch and plug in wiring harness for my 2014Kia Sorento. Every thing i receiver from etrailer was exactly what they said it was and the instructions were very detailed but easy to follow! I am 65 and i installed everything myself in a little over an hour and a half! No items missing or not matching up. Etrailer is the real deal and i would purchase from them again. Best price i found and they saved me over $100.00. Stop looking and order from etrailer, i'll bet that $100.00 you won't be disappointed! !
Easy Plug and Play installation. Make sure you keep the "waterproof" box inside the rear cargo area to avoid electrical shorts. Just have to feed the wires through OEM grommet.
Easy to install and has always worked on my trailer with no issues. Shopping on line the price was great too! :-)
