Quickly and easily install a 4-way trailer connector on your vehicle with this custom harness. T-connector plugs directly into existing wiring - no cutting or splicing required.
Features:
This custom-fit T-connector plugs into your vehicle's wiring harness, which is located behind the rear tire mud flap on the driver's side.
Once installation is complete, the 4-way flat connector will be stowed beneath your vehicle, near the trailer hitch. A mounting bracket (sold separately) is recommended to keep the connector secure.
It is recommended that you use a small amount of grease on all electrical connections - the plugs on your automobile and the 4-pole connector itself - to help prevent corrosion.

very easy to install. 06 wrangler tj sport. remove 4 screws from driver side rear tailight lens. use a very small flat screwdriver in the weep hole in bottom middle and gently twist to remove red lens. take out the 3 bolts holding in the tailight bucket. in the oval hole the wiring comes out of pull the wiring until you get both connections out. you may have to turn back and forth but they will come out. disconnect from the tailight connect new clip to it and the other end clip to the wiring you just pulled out. grease the poles with provided grease. put trailer wire in the hole reach under and there is a small door cut in the bottom of the plastic inner box. pull the trailer wire with 4 pole end out and feed the wiring back in at the same time. ground white wire. put 3 bolts back on tailight bucket and tighten. clean lens and reinstall with 4 screws do not over tighten, they are plastic. run your plug wire where you need it and fasten with zip ties. this will be the easiest thing you will do to your jeep. i really like the way it installed.
Wiring harness works great! Very easy to install.
This product is for my 2006 Jeep Wrangler RU. It installs on the rear driver's side, behind the tail light. It took a total of 5 mins. to install and works perfectly. Buy this one for the 1997-06 Wrangler. DO NOT get the other kit that goes to both tail lights. That kit takes a long time to install and does the same thing. This above one is plug-and-play.
