2007 Chevrolet Silverado 1500

This is my first hitch. I decided to go this route after finding out the dealership wanted over 1500 to install rails hitch and plug.
Install was not too aweful bad I did the install in about 4 hours of everything. I took my time so nothing would be screwed up. The install videos where awesome and very discriptive.

by:

Products arrived in Alaska within a couple of days of making the order online. Easy to find the product needed on the website. Great installation instructions, both video and written. Perfect fit with no fuss.

  • Curt 5th Wheel Base Rail Kit Options for 2003 Dodge Ram 2500 Diesel 4x4 Pickup
For your 2003 Dodge Ram 2500 diesel 4x4 pickup you can use Curt Universal Base Rail Kit # C16200 as long as the truck does not have overload brackets. Universal kits cost a little less but they require more drilling and a longer overall installation time. The fastest and easiest 5th wheel base rail installation comes from using a custom-fit kit # C16420-204 that includes custom frame brackets that use existing holes in the frame. This means a lot less drilling. Semi-Custom kit # C16301-200...

  • Is B&W Turnoverball BWGNRK1394-5W For 1999 Dodge Ram Compatible With B&W Companion Slider 3405
Yes, the two are absolutely compatible! You do have the correct fit for the B&W Gooseneck as well as the Companion slider for your 1999 Dodge Ram, and the two will work together superbly; the two parts you need are the following: - Custom Underbed Installation Kit for B&W Companion 5th Wheel Trailer Hitches # BWGNRK1394-5W - B&W Companion 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch with Slider # BWRVK3400-5W While the title says "Custom Underbed Installation Kit" this is the B&W Turnoverball gooseneck hitch,...

  • Where Should King Pin Sit in the Bed of a 1997 Dodge Ram 2500 for 5th Wheel Towing
Typically the king pin will be located directly above, or slightly forward of the rear axle on any given pickup. If you were to install a universal base rail kit like the Reese # RP30035 on your 1997 Dodge Ram 2500 the (linked) instructions state that the king pin will be about 2" forward of the axle center. I have attached a picture of the instructions that show where you would install the base rails in relation to your truck bed. I recommend going with the Reese single-jaw 5th wheel...

  • Custom 5th Wheel Hitch Installation Kit for 2007 Dodge Ram 1500 Mega Cab with 6-Foot Bed
For your 2007 Dodge Ram 1500 Mega Cab with 6-foot bed I recommend a custom-fit 5th wheel installation kit that will reduce your install time. The lowest-price option currently is the Curt # C16420-204 which includes the base rails, custom under-bed brackets and hardware. You can refer to the linked video for a complete illustration of the installation process. If you need a 5th wheel wiring harness for the truck bed you can use part # C56001 Since your truck is a short bed, slider type...

  • Recommended Install Kit for Valley 5th Wheel Hitch on 1998 Dodge Ram 2500
Although Valley is not around any longer, we used to carry their products so I can say with confidence that their fifth wheel hitches were compatible with industry standard bed rails constructed by Reese, Curt Husky and others. Reese offers a Universal fifth wheel hitch install kit, part # RP30035 that uses industry standard fifth wheel bed rails that would be compatible with your Valley sliding hitch. This is a similar kit to the Curt # C16200. Since your truck bed is 8 feet long, you...

  • Recommended Curt Sliding Fifth Wheel Hitch for 2007 Dodge Ram Short Bed
To tow a fifth wheel trailer with your 2007 Dodge Ram with a 6-1/2 foot bed you will need to install base rails in your truck bed in order to mount a Curt sliding hitch. Base rails come with installation kits and there are two different options for an '07 Dodge Ram, depending on the model of your truck; I will list the kits and you can select the right one. Keep in mind these kits come with both the base rails and frame brackets so you do not need to purchase them separately. - 2007 Dodge...

  • Recommended Sliding 5th Wheel Hitch Between Demco, Husky, Curt, and Reese
All four manufacturers, Demco, Husky, Curt, and Reese are great companies that have been in the 5th wheel towing business for a long time. I would have no problem recommending any of them for a towing setup. Since your 1999 Dodge Ram has a 6 foot bed you will need a sliding 5th wheel hitch to give you extra turning clearance for those tight turning situations. The best 5th wheel sliding hitch that we have to offer is from Demco. The Demco Hijacker Autoslide 5th Wheel Hitch enables you...

  • 5th Wheel Installation Kit for 1998 Dodge Ram Pickup
We do have 5th wheel hitch installation kits that include the frame brackets, hardware and hitch base rails. These are industry-standard rails that work with all brands of standard 5th wheel hitch. I recommend the Husky custom install kit # HT31404-686. This kit fits both 6-foot and 8-foot bed models. Drilling is required. There is not a no-drill kit for your truck. For an in-bed wiring harness you can use part # C56001.

  • Replacing Factory 7-Way and In-Bed 7-Way Trailer Connectors on a 1999 Dodge Ram 2500
For your 1999 Dodge Ram 2500 with factory 7-Way you can use 5th wheel/gooseneck wiring harness # C56071 for a 7-foot-long model or # C56001 for a 10-foot model. For the rear 7-Way you can use 7-Way # PK11893 if the harness on the back of your 7-Way is the standard round US car connector. If it isn't then you would also need # PK11998 and would need to hardwire it in by function by testing the wires on the truck with a circuit tester such as # PTW2993. • Best Underbed Fifth Wheel Towing Setup Recommendation for a 1995 Dodge Ram 2500
For an underbed fifth wheel setup confirmed to fit your 1995 Dodge Ram 2500 with an 8 foot bed you would want the B and W Companion hitch setup that consists of part numbers # BWRVK3500-5W for the fifth wheel hitch and then part # BWGNRK1394-5W for the underbed kit. Any brand of industry-standard 5th wheel hitch will fit into any brand of industry-standard base rails, but the frame brackets that secure the rails to the truck frame should not be mixed with base rails from another maker since there can be compatibility issues. So in other words, you will want to use brackets from the same maker as your base rails (again, the hitch brand does not matter here). • Troubleshooting Short to Battery Message with Prodigy P3 Controller When it Rains
Water is seeping into the new 7-way most likely and is causing a short between the 12 volt output circuit and the brake output circuit. The water is somehow getting introduced into the round connector behind the 7-way. It could also be at the 7-way at the rear of the vehicle too. I'd recommend taking the connector apart to allow it to dry and then using dielectric grease like part # 11755 which will prevent the water from getting back in.
