Installation: The OEM plug for the Pontiac Aztec/Buick Rendezvous is located behind the bumper below the driver's side taillight. A mounting bracket is recommended for the 4 pole connector.
Can be used with 5-pole, 6-pole or 7-pole adapters.

Alright, today on this 2004 Buick Rendezvous we're going to install part number 41405 from Hopkins. This is a wiring harness that plugs in to the factory towing port. First, we'll go ahead and locate the port. It's underneath the vehicle, on the driver side, above the suspension in the corner by the bumper. We'll go ahead and use a trim panel tool to remove it from the sheet metal underneath then we'll go ahead and remove the cap. There's a small tab we need to pull up then it comes right apart.Now we'll take our new wiring harness, we'll add some dielectric grease that comes with it to the terminal then we'll go ahead and snap it into place.
Then we'll go ahead and return the port back to it's original mounting position and then reinstall it on the sheet metal.Next we'll go ahead and route our 4-pole harness over to the center of the hitch. Then we'll use a variety of ties to help secure the excess wires up and out of the way.With those two steps, our wiring harness is already installed. That'll finish it for part number 41405 from Hopkins on our 2004 Buick Rendezvous.

Thank you etrailer, customer service and prices are great! Appreciate installation videos & tips. Hitch fit is spot on for my 2003 AWD Rendezvous. Did install in carport by myself without having to lower exhaust or spare tire. Part 80101-1 is a must to make job easier, and 41405 wiring harness is a simple plug in. Will be using primarily for a receiver mounted bike rack.
I bought a wiring harness for my Buick Rendezvous and after removing both tail lights and some other panels (45min) I still didn't
like how the wiring was routed.So I bought a Hopkins Wiring Kit and installed it in less than 3 minutes. Nothing to remove just plug it in and go. I wish I had heard of the Hopkins Wiring Kit before I bought the wiring harness. Also the Hopkins kit was cheaper.
What a great Site. Very easy to navigate, I purchased a DrawTite trailer hitch for my 2004 Buick Rendezvous. The video's showed the install process with step by step instructions for both the hitch and the wiring harness, had it completed in less then an hour. Low price with great service you don't see everyday.
My Rendezvous had the plug for trailer wiring up behind the bumper, so this was a quick plugin, and I was ready to go. I did have some plastic flexible conduit that I placed around this wiring, to protect it from wear.
So I got the hitch with-in 3 days of ordering.
I had a shop lined up to install it but our times didn’t line up. Now before telling this story mind you I am a disabled person (50) and at the moment I also have what they call frozen shoulder. VERY minimal use of arm, being my dominant arm. Last night in my yard with some light I was able to complete this job in less than an hour. No dropping the exhaust or having to lower the spare tire. Thank you for making a product that truly is a no Brainer. Did have some help from my girlfriend who knows nothing about tools. She’s learning though. Lol
After reading all the horror stories of putting a 4 flat harness in a Rendezvous, a friend sent me to etrailer. Found the Hopkins Plug, took 2 minutes to install and voila!!! Wired and ready to go! Thanks for your great site!!!

Well make, conductor jackets were think for exterior of car use, the connector mated directly with a buick as advertised.
Cable was able to pass through a bulk head and into car so that it could be stored inside when not in use.

Real easy to install (my daughter-in-law actually installed it on her car) in less than 3 minuets. The hardest part was trying to find spots on the car to zip tie the wiring to.
I put one a few yrs. ago on my Honda Accord and it worked perfect. I just got one today for my Buick Rendezvous and am going to wait until better weather as its snowing here in Iowa. I have the greatest faith that I won't have any.problems. they make a good product at a good price
