Can the T-One Wiring Harness #118383 Be Used on a 2007 Buick Rendezvous With Towing Package

Question:

I purchased the #118383 harness before I realized that my Rendezvous has the towing package. Will the part I purchased work, or am I going to have to get part #41405?

You will still be able to use the T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness, # 118383, on your 2007 Buick Rendezvous even though your vehicle has the tow package installed. This harness connects inline with the vehicle tail lights and gets power for the trailer lighting directly from the the taillights. This harness works exactly the same as the tow package wiring once correctly installed, see instructions.

The advantage to using the tow package wiring, # 41405, is that the trailer lighting power is supplied by circuits that are protected by fuses in the vehicle power distribution box. This helps eliminate the possibility of a short on the trailer lighting system causing an issue with the vehicle tail lights. I linked instructions for this harness for you to review also.
