Here is a simple solution by CargoSmart to get all of your contents and your cargo carrier or your roof mounted basket all secured down with their cargo net. Nice thing about this is you don't have to mess with ratchet straps. With ratchet strap, you're gonna need multiple to be able to get everything nice and secured on your carrier. With this, you just need one of them. And it stretches a lot on the whole entire side. So stuff starts to kind of shift around.
Maybe this starts to kind of come up, which it won't, but if it does, it's gonna make everything else tighter. So as it starts to maybe shift around, the elastic bands are gonna keep it contained. As you can see, we have a nice diamond pattern which gives us a lot of surface area to cover all of our stuff, but this isn't gonna keep all the rain out. Right now, all the stuff on our carrier is gonna be waterproof. I mean, I would rather my sleeping bag not get wet.
So one other solution you could go with is a cargo bag. So we designed a cargo bag specifically for your cargo carriers, and I did the video on it. We took it through a car wash to show you how dry it was, even after that high pressure rinse. So if you're looking for something that's just as easy to tie everything down, but it's waterproof, go check out that bag. This is gonna be a really simple solution though, for you who don't really need that waterproof bag.
The nice thing about this, if you are traveling with a bunch of different people and you have a different amount of stuff on here for different things. So for instance, this is gonna be for water down at the campsite. We have a majority of our tents and stuff inside here, and then the cooler for snacks and beverages that goes to one section. But if you wanna hike, we don't have to sift through a bag or have to pack the whole entire bag. All we have to do is just take off just a couple of these hooks and grab our little hiking bag and our little hammock and go on our way.
So I really like that. Another nice thing about the net. I forget things a lot. So did I pack the water jug, honey Yep, 'cause you can see it. That's another thing that's kind of cool with this. Everything's everywhere where you can see it. So you know you didn't forget something when you're packing. We're gonna have 16 plastic hooks and we have a little pull circle right there. The diameter of this circle, if it was completely closed, is about an inch, but it just has the open side there. So it works really well with the etrailer cargo carrier, but it is gonna work well with some of those rooftop boxes as well. So this is very versatile product. We're gonna have 16 of these. And then of course, we're just gonna have a lot of elastic bands that's gonna keep everything nice and tight. At first, I wasn't really too confident in a cargo net that's gonna cover all the stuff and keep it secure, but it all just comes down to how big the net is compared to how big the carrier is that you're using. So to give you an idea, this is 36 by 48 and our cargo carrier is 60 by 24. It works pretty well. It all comes down to a size game to make sure that it's gonna be stretched out enough and tight to keep all those contents done. This is a lot less bulky than ratchet straps. So you can just go ahead and throw it wherever you need whenever you're done and unloading. At the end of the day, I just wanna get my stuff to wherever I wanna go and the cargo net by CargoSmart's gonna make it a lot quicker and easier. So you can just do what you want a little bit faster.
