Your crossbar spread must be between 20 inches and 37 inches center to center, most setups are in this range but you can easily meausure. When any load is placed in the cargo basket you may see some sag and may require more room.

Although the carrier has a weight capacity of 150 lbs, you will want to check your owner's manual or check with a dealership to find out what the roof weight capacity is for your 2013 Volkswagen Tiguan with the panoramic roof.
