Lift It, Don't Scrape It!

Race Ramps hook nose in use

Race Ramps Hook-Nosed Service Rack Ramps attach to a platform or lift to safely load your vehicle onto a service rack. The 3" hook-nose securely connects to forward side of the service platform or lift to create a smooth transition surface. The ramps have an 6.4 degree angle of approach, which allows you to load a low-ground-clearance vehicle without worrying about scraping its front end. It also eliminates the need for heavy steel approach ramps.

Ultra-Strong, Lightweight Construction with Anti-Skid Coating

These ramps are made of ultra-strong, solid core, high-density EPS foam that won't crack or bounce. Each ramp supports 1,500 lbs - giving you a total weight capacity of 3,000 lbs for lifting a vehicle for service. The ramps are lightweight, weighing no more than 9 pounds per ramp, so you can transport and store them with ease.

Race Ramps polyurea coating

The ramps are covered with a textured coating and are flat on one side. This keeps them from skidding when you drive up on them. The coating is a hybrid polyurea compound that is resistant to water and other automotive chemicals commonly found around the garage. And although this coating is durable, it will not scratch, mark, or scrape your garage floor or the ground.

Video Transcript for Review of Race Ramps Car Ramps - Service Ramps - RR-RACK-HN14-5

Hello, etrailer neighbors. Welcome back, I'm Steven, and today we're looking at these race ramps. They have a hook nose in their service style ramp with a five inch lift and about 48 inches long. So again, these are what's called a hook nose ramp, and they're gonna attach to a platform or lift to safely load your vehicle onto a service rack, something of that sort. Now they do connect with a three inch hook nose, and I'm gonna go ahead and try to show you a closeup of that and I'll get you a better closeup here in a minute as well. But again, a three inch hook nose, it's got a nice finish on it.

It's got that diamond plate, or diamond shred pattern, whatever you want to call that. It's gonna replace your heavy duty steel approach ramps that you probably have that are just very heavy and they're tedious to work with. The ramping client here is gonna give you a nice, gentle 6.4 degrees angle of approach, and that's gonna be perfect for your low profile ground clearance vehicles. Now as I said they are lightweight, they only weigh about nine pounds each. Very solid core, durable, it's a solid core foam.

They're very ultra, ultra strong. It's a high density EPS foam is what they call it and that's gonna give you that durability and stability that you're looking for. And again, because it is a solid core foam, it's not gonna bounce or break on you or crack or anything like that. I've been playing with these all morning and they're pretty hard to even try to get a bend, even here at the thin spot at the front. So very nice construction for what I can see.

Now the neat thing is, again, they have this nice texture on them. I will give you a closeup of that real quick. And that texture's gonna help prevent you from slipping and sliding, and it's just gonna resist water and maybe automotive fluids in case you get some spills or something. And again, there's a nice closeup of that hook. And again, that finish.

And it's hard to describe, I know it's kind of hard to see on the camera here, but it's just a nice, smooth yet grip, if that makes any sense whatsoever. But it's got a nice gloss finish and you can feel the grip yet it won't scratch or mark or scrape the floor in any way. It is made here in the USA. And again, this is gonna work with vehicles with tires up to 12 inch wide. So if you get a nice fat tire, a meaty tire in the back or the front, this will accommodate those as well. They're rated for 1500 pounds each, so a total with two ramps is gonna give you a 3000 pound rating. And again, they have a three inch hook or connection hook here at the front. And again, they are five inches tall, 48 inches long, and 14 inches wide. Now I will throw a graphic up here on the screen. You can find this graphic on our website as well, etrailer.com, Just go to the part page if you're not already there watching this video. And you can see this graphic anytime, it's always gonna be up there, and that'll give you all the dimensions and everything you need. And like I said, everything about these I just really like. They do also have, it's gonna be upside down here, on the camera that's inverted, but it's a 1500 pound per ramp, that's also written and stamped on the backside as well to help you remember that. So overall, I'm pretty impressed with these guys. I do like, again, the grip. Again, it's just hard to explain, but it does have a grip, but yet it's smooth to the touch. So very nice texture finish and everything. So again, nice, hardcore, heavy duty, super light. They're gonna work out great for you and I hope you're excited whenever you get 'em. I'm Steven with etrailer.com. Thank you so much for your time today while we look at these race ramps with the hook nose. Have a good one.
