Ellen: Hey everybody. I'm Ellen here at etrailer.com and we're taking a quick look at the GSI Outdoors Cascadian Mugs. Now these are going to be sold separately, but they come in a couple of different colors, including red and blue. I just kind of wanted to give you an idea of the colors side by side. The nice thing about these is that they're going to be just easy, comfortable mug to use when you're out camping. Lightweight, durable, but they're also recyclable, so you don't have to worry about them having a big eco footprint as far as use.
Once you're done with them after years of service, you can always recycle these and not have to worry about them just filling up a landfill. All in all, a pretty nice kit. There are complete kits for all of your needs, if that's plates, silverware, and all kinds of other stuff here at etrailer.com, so you can check those out, but let's take a closer look at these guys and talk a little bit about the measurements to see if this is going to be the right choice for you. They do hold about 14 fluid ounces. That's about a cup and three quarters, so almost two cups. The handle is pretty comfortable in the hand. There's a little cutout at the bottom for your pinkie to kind of rest on or another finger.
It should be pretty good size for most people out there. I have kind of average size hands, I guess, so if you have a hand that's about the same size as mine, should be pretty comfortable for you, unless you're Andr the Giant, I don't think that you'd have too much trouble using this guy.It is pretty easy to transport, easy to clean, made of polypropylene, so pretty easy to use and keep clean, and it should wear pretty well over time. Weighs about 2.4 ounces. Just to put a ruler on it for some measurements. Diameter is about 3-1/2", maybe 3-5/8ths.
With the handle, it's about 5" wide, maybe a little bit shy of 5", maybe 4-7/8ths. Total height is about 4", maybe just a little bit shy, again about 4-7/8ths.They are covered by a limited lifetime warranty, and that's pretty much all there is to it for our quick look at the GSI Outdoors Cascadian Mugs. I hope this has been helpful in deciding if these are the right choice for you. Again, the colors are sold separately, but we do have those available here at etrailer.com, along with a lot of other camping and hiking gear, so check it out. Thanks for watching..
