Hi, everybody. My name is Andy with etrailer.com. Today we're taking a look at Coghlan's silicone reusable straws. If you are looking for a set of straws that are reusable, that will take the place of one-time use plastic straws. Whether you're camping, whether you're in your RV or even, even at home, this might be a good set for you to consider. Let's take a closer look at them.
Now, what's nice about these reusable drinking straws is you don't need a brush or anything similar to clean the inside of these straws out. These straws come apart at the middle and it's as easy as kind of running your finger or your thumb down the middle. And they open up completely for easy clean. So you can completely clean the inside of that by running water through or soaking them in a sink. And these are not dishwasher safe.
So this would be for hand-washing only. And once you have the inside of your straw clean, the inside flap of this straw rolls into the outer flap. And once you kind of worked that into place, there is a channel on the inside flap. And then on the outside flap kind of like a a notch or a ledge that completely locks in to that inner flap. So that will prevent leaking from the straw.
Now, these straws are made from an FDA approved silicone, so they are safe for drinking and they are nine inches long. So just again, confirming that measurement for you there. And when you order these straws, they do come in a pack of four. They come in green, yellow, red, and I have here at my water cup, this blue straw, I was interested to see if these straws would leak. It seems to me that water would leak from the scene where they closed up.
And so I took a straw and cleaned it out and stuck into my water cup here. And I'm going to take a few sips here to see how it holds up. Well, I'm happy to report that. It looks like the seam holds it doesn't leak at all, which is nice. And it's a perfectly drier down the scene. It is kind of different drinking from silicone since I'm so used to drinking from plastic straws and being that these are made out of this FDA approved silicone. I do see where these could possibly retain the flavor of your previous drink. Just to be honest with you, I taste a little bit of the dish washing detergent that I use to clean this particular straw out. And that's after rinsing it thoroughly. So that's, that's a possibility that there could retain the flavor of your previous drink and, and by nature being that these are silicone, they will pick up dust and dirt and debris, things like that. So be aware of that. This is a great attempt to make reusable straws, but like if you put this on a picnic table at your campsite. I could definitely see you would pick up dirt or debris from that picnic table. So just be aware of that. Well, I think that does it for our look today Coghlan's Silicone Reusable Straws. My name is Andy. Thank you for joining me..
