Video Transcript for Redline Boat Trailer Parts - Roller and Bunk Parts - 804 Review

Today, we're going to review part number 804. This is the Redline 4-inch Rubber Keel Spool-Type Roller for boat trailers. This spool-type keel roller is designed to support the keel of lighter boats and allow easier launching and loading of the boats. It does have an overall length of 4 inches and the diameter on the roller is 3 inches. Now, the measurement of the flat area on the roller itself will measure 1-1/2 inches and the measurement from the outside of the roller to the start of where the flat spot is, they would measure 1-1/4 inches on each side. Now, the hole size is 5/8 of an inch.

That means it will mount on a shaft diameter of 5/8 of an inch. That should do it for review on part number 804.

Utilized several products purchased from etrailer while building a double trailer for two sneak boxes. etrailer always had the products I needed in stock, delivery was prompt and their service/follow up was excellent. I will not hesitate to continue to purchase from them in the future.

I have done two separate orders with etrailer. First a set of leaf springs and a tire, second a set of keel rollers. It's been a very good experience. Great service, quality parts, really good prices. I would recommend them absolutely!

I am completely satisfied with the products I purchased.

by:

I bought these rollers to replace old ones on a trailer that had been setting for several years and had deteriorated badly. I looked all over and couldn't find any where I live so found these and ordered them. They appear to be of high-quality rubber and should do the trick. These 4" rollers measure 3 3/4" long, but that's okay because I actually need them slightly shorter than that for my trailer, and no on makes the size I need anymore. I think I can get these to squeeze in. I haven't installed them yet, or had them for long, so can't write about how long they last, but they look to be good quality.

Works as planned. Wished it came with a galvanized bolt or stainless bolt to use.

All are working well and everything intact. Will order another tire and wheel to replace my aged spare for my jon boat trailer soon.

by:

I had a small order: just 4 bunk brackets and 3 rubber rollers for a trailer I just rebuilt for a fishing boat. I was impressed with the quality/price of the items and with the service. I will order again from etrailer.com...........

by:

If you have a boat trailer that has roller brackets that are 4 inch and the current roller are tight these are the rooler you want, With a width of 3 and 3/4 they fit perfectly

by:

We have to give you a 5 star rating because we've been restoring a 1970 Starcraft 15' fishing boat and just finished it. Maiden voyage will be this spring when we take it to Lee's Ferry on the Colorado River. As it stands, the rollers are in place and no reason they should not perform well. We appreciate the apparent quality.

by:

Product seems of good quality. Shipping was great and the tracking information on where the product was is the best I have ever seen. I would recommend this company to anyone and look forward to doing business in the future.

by:

I had no difficulty installing this item. It seems to be an exact replacement for my old trailer roller. My old roller had a nylon tube to maintain dimensional stability for the bolt hole; this new model has a plastic pipe tube instead. But the functionality seems to be the same.

by:

Great price and speedy delivery. My roller brackets were to narrow for a 5", so used the 4" with some washers on either side. Fits like a charm now!

by:

Perfect for our trailer. Love the website, super fast shipping. This keel spool is super durable and highest quality.

by:

  • 3 inch Boat Roller Availability
We sell 3 inch bow rollers like the part # YR300Y that is designed to attach to a 1/4 inch stud. Or for a 3-3/4 inch one you would want part # 804 or # YR4174-4.

  • Rubber Keel Roller Shaft for 3-3/4 Inch Spool-Type Roller and Mounting Bracket
The 3-3/4" Rubber Keel Spool-Type Roller for Boat Trailers # 804 can use the Roller Shaft with Pal Nuts for Boat Trailer Rollers - Zinc-Plated Steel - 5-1/4" x 5/8" # CE10721A. We do not have a shorter roller shaft length, so if you have a mounting bracket requiring a shorter length you would need to trim it and then paint the trimmed edge to prevent corrosion prior to installing the pal nut. Most often this roller is paired with that shaft as well as the CE Smith Panel Bracket for 4"...

  • Troubleshooting a Boat That Wants to Load Crookedly
Typically, if you are loading a boat and is not wanting to load squarely it is because your trailer is backed too deep into the water. That is the case most of the time with this issue, usually it takes trial and error to determine exactly how much of your trailer should be underwater to find the sweet spot. I would recommend using part of the trailer (such as a fender) as a reference point for how much should be underwater to find the sweet spot. Another solution people have is to switch...
