Installation kit lets you install your Redarc BCDC 25-amp battery charger (331-BCDC1225D) in your vehicle to get you ready for overlanding. Includes everything needed for most standard installations.


Features:

  • Installation kit lets you install the Redarc BCDC 25-amp battery charger in your vehicle or cargo area
  • 28' Long, 4-gauge cables connect vehicle battery to BCDC with quick-connect Anderson plug
    • 6' Long ends with ring terminals connect to battery
    • 22' Long jumper ends wire to charger - clamps will need to be removed
  • (2) 40-Amp fuses with cable crimp lugs protect against short circuits and overloads
  • Battery terminal extenders let you easily hook up accessory cables
    • 2 Top post battery extenders and 2 side bolt extenders included to fit your application
  • Heavy-gauge crimp connectors, heat shrink tubing, and extra ring terminals are included for connecting wiring
    • 4-Gauge wire crimp connectors
    • (6) 6" Long, 8- to 2-gauge heat shrink tubing
    • (2) 10-mm x 25 sq. mm, 4-Gauge ring terminals
  • Hammer crimper lets you crimp connectors onto heavy-gauge wires
  • 8 Self-tapping screws for mounting charger
  • 25 Cable ties let you secure wiring in place
  • Additional wiring included for use with vehicles that have a smart alternator

    According to my research your 2021 Chevy Silverado will have the variable voltage where the alternator adjusts output based off of demand. This means you need to connect the blue wire of the Redarc In-Vehicle BCDC Battery Charger # 331-BCDC1225D to the ignition on your pickup. If you don't already have the wiring and fuses you need we have a few packages you can choose from for that as well.     I have a way for you to test and see if your 2007 Nissan Xterra has a smart alternator (I doubt it does), but I unfortunately don't have a list of what vehicles have a smart alternator so it will require you to do some testing: 1. Locate your main vehicle battery 2. Start the engine, ensuring any fans, radio, lights etc. are turned off. 3. Take a voltage reading across the main vehicle battery 4.
