Hi there, I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a quick look at this UWS replacement locking T-handle for your UWS toolboxes. Now this is going to fit any UWS top side or underbody truck toolbox. It is a correct replacement from UWS so you can trust that it is gonna fit right in place of that original. So no worries about fit issues or compatibility problems. It does come with the two keys so that you can get this locked in place so you don't have to worry about anyone getting into your toolbox, taking out your tools.
And that handle does fold down, so it's gonna give you a nice flush look there. This does have a nice polished stainless steel construction so it is gonna be very durable for you and look really good as well. But just to give you a few measurements here to help reassure you that this is gonna work for you. You can see this is right at four and three quarters of an inch wide. And then our height, we're gonna be looking at, right about five inches tall, if we don't include that inner level there.
And then our mounting holes here, side to side, we're looking at right about four inches, center to center, just a little bit short. So we'll call it three and seven eighths of an inch, center to center. And then, vertically, we're looking at about, three and three eighths, center to center. So very easy to get this put in place of your original. Make sure that your toolbox is gonna be locked locked up and secured again.

view full answer... - How to Open UWS Toolbox with Damaged Lock If the lock on your UWS Toolbox is damaged to the point that the key no longer works unfortunately your only option is to simply drill out the latch/handle. Once you have the box opened and the latch removed, you can replace it with the T-Handle # UWSTHLOCK, which does include 2 new keys. If your particular UWS box uses a different style latch/handle please let me know and I will be happy to see if we have a different replacement that will work.

The overall width is 4-3/4 inches. The overall height is 4-13/16 inches. The mounting holes are 3-7/8 inches apart on center from side to side and 3-1/4 inches on center top to bottom. The over depth from the back of the mounting surface to the end of the handle mechanism is 2-5/8 inches. I made a picture for you that illustrates these dimensions.

You'll need to swap the cores that came with the handle with these, but after that these handles will both use the same key.
