Ellen: Hey, everyone. I'm Ellen here at etrailer.com and today we're looking at the Replacement Bike Cradle Pad for Thule Bike Carriers. So this is going to be that component that your bike rides in on the cradle. It helps to keep it protected from bumps and shocks in the road and it also has those grooves to allow for your bike cables to rest in there and not get damaged or pinched. Just pops into place on your bike rack, so it'll fit down over these knobs and this does fit the Thule Raceway Bike Carriers, so that's going to be part numbers TH9001 and TH9002. Both of those are available here at etrailer.com.
We have a lot of other accessories and related parts for those bike racks, so if you have any other replacement parts you need to get, you can find those right here at etrailer.com.Now, again, this is a direct replacement, but I'm just going to give you some measurements for reference. The longest point, it's about three and a half inches long from edge to edge there and about one and seven eighths inches wide. And from top to bottom, just about one and three quarter inches deep. So from the top of that ridge down to there, it's about one and three quarter inches. So it should get you back out on the road enjoying your bike rack and your bike without having to invest in a whole new bike rack.

These cradles are needed for the Thule bike mount, however, they do wear out with the shifter and derailer wires that run under the bike frame.

These are replacement cradles for Thule trunk mounted bike rack. Cables from bike frame cut into old ones. Have had rack for over 1.5 years. Time to replace straps also as they stretch.

Both items continue to work great no problems. I usually have to order the rubber straps and pads for the Thule rack, but that I think is normal wear and tear, especially if it is being used a lot. I guess that you could call it the cost of doing business. riding mountain bikesThanks for checking though. I will continue to use your company in the future.
