Replacement Modular Base for TracRac Fixed Mount Ladder Rack - Black - Left Front/Right Rear - Qty 1

I have a tracrac trac one in black finish on my pickup truck. I backed under a low hanging large branch of a tree and this base part cracked in half. I use these racks almost daily as I am a contractor/carpenter. I called and spoke with Matt. He helped me locate which part I needed and I placed the order. He initially told me it would go out the following day at standard ups shipping. I received an email from Matt a couple hours later that he ended up getting it shipped that day and upgraded my shipping at no cost to me so I would get it faster. The part came a couple days later, it was the correct part and fit right in place to make my racks back in operation as good as they were before. Very happy with service and help I received!903051

After purchasing and installing my Thule TracRac ladder rack, the next day I backed into a parking space. Not use to having, forgetting the rack was on and not realizing a low tree limb was in path for collision. Ouch!

I was tickled to find out that replacement parts were available. The base mount plate broke (buckled my solid bed rail top, slightly) and 1 clamp screw bent. I was amazed these were the only two components damaged/ needed.

This model rack breaks very easily at the base if the top hits something especially when backing up as the leverage is high. There should be diagonal braces.614697
