This kit converts your Thule child carrier (sold separately) into a bicycle trailer so you can take your child with you as you ride your bike.
The hitch arm in this kit is inserted into the VersaWing bracket on your Thule chassis, snapping into place in seconds. This hitch arm is then connected to your bike using the ezHitch system. A longer, quick-release wheel skewer in this kit replaces your rear wheel's quick-release skewer so that you can attach a hitch cup to your bike's rear axle.
Once you have installed the skewer and hitch cup, they can be left on your bike for use with or without the carrier. If you have a solid bike axle, simply remove the existing axle nut and then install the hitch cup. Reinstall the nut to secure the hitch on your bike and you're ready to ride.
After the hitch cup is mounted on your bike, the ball at the end of the hitch arm slides inside the hitch cup and is secured to it with a locking pin and safety strap.
The ball-and-socket design of this bike hitch makes a more flexible connection between your bike and the carrier than other bicycle hitches. This means that as your bike leans into corners, the carrier stays more upright because the bike and the trailer act independently, preventing twisting of the hitch bar. Using this hitch system stabilizes your bicycle trailer and helps to prevent the trailer from pulling or pushing on your bike as you turn, so you have a smoother ride.
To assure your peace of mind, the bike trailer has a backup connection for each end of the hitch arm. A safety strap provides a second attachment between the hitch arm and your bike. This strap wraps around your bicycle's chain guard and clips onto a D-ring on the hitch arm. A second safety strap with a pin inserts into the VersaWing to form another connection between the other end of the hitch arm and the bike trailer. Your child is doubly safe with this well-designed hitch system.
The included reflectors mount on your wheels and rear cargo bag, and an extra-tall safety flag slides into the sleeve on the rear side of your carrier to further enhance your visibility. Show your baby how to enjoy a healthy, active lifestyle with this easy-to-use bike trailer kit.

Looked around for a while to find the right part for our hand-me-down stroller. It's now connected to my bike and the kids go everwhere as we practice riding.

Can't review the product yet. I have not used it. The service has been good though. I received exactly what I needed and the time frame was good. The product fits the trailer nicely and the quick release fits my recumbent trike.
I needed a different arm to hook on to my 29er and this did the job perfectly. Using an old Trek Transit Delux bike trailer.

I really like it! I use it almost everyday. It has become quite rusty but it still works.
Got this for my older (pre Thule) Chariot CX1. It's the real-deal Thule brand bike tow hitch. It fits seamlessly, sets up really quick to the rear wheel of my Bianchi bike and I can't be more pleased. It shipped quickly and was easy to track. I will order again from etrailer!
We are very happy with the Thule bicycle trailer conversion kit we bought from etrailer.com and are even happier with etrailer.com's prompt, excellent service. We bought a Thule stroller from another seller last summer, but did not immediately buy a trailer kit. We decided to get one last week, only to discover that it had been discontinued and hardly anyone had any left in stock. A few sellers had them, but had jacked up the price. etrailer.com had the item in stock, at a very attractive price, and they shipped it immediately the morning after my late-night order. We will definitely buy from them again.
Super easy to install!! Great quality!! I am so excited to use this product with my CX2!!! Very happy with everything about etrailer. The box was used and retaped but the materials inside seemed unharmed. So far the hitch is in good condition but we have only tested it one time
