Outdoor Living Space for the Whole Family

Solera Family Room

You and the family came out to revel in the great outdoors, not to sit inside your camper all weekend. But there are bugs, rain showers, sweltering sunbeams, and strong winds that sometimes ruin the party. Don't wait for Mother Nature to cooperate to enjoy your camping trip. Instead of calling it quits and staying cooped up inside your cramped RV, live it up on your patio with this screened-in family room. Extend your entertainment space right outside your door to enjoy a family picnic, game night, and other social gatherings anytime! When the party's over, the screen room folds nicely into the included storage bag, making it easy to carry and tuck neatly away into a storage bay.

Keep Bugs Out

Solera Family Room

Ditch the bug spray and enjoy a lovely summer breeze while you read or take an afternoon snooze. This family room has built-in mesh screens that are perfect for dinnertime when the bugs start to come around. Say goodbye to flies landing on your burger or sacrificing a hand to slap at a mosquito. It's made for the bustle of family camping, so you can leave your RV door open while going in and out without a swarm of pesky bugs sneaking inside. The see-through design will also let you keep an eye on the kids playing outside while you relax with a drink in hand.

Privacy and Protection

The Solera family room is great for crowded campgrounds, giving you privacy while you hang out no matter how close your neighbors are. The built-in panels give you options for how you want to enjoy your RV patio. You can unzip, roll up, and buckle them in place when you want to let the breeze in, then let them down while you take your afternoon nap. Serve up a family meal without being seen by everyone walking their dog. After dark, when you're playing games with your patio lights on, you can't be seen from across the campground. It even makes a great sleeping area, acting just like a tent.

Solera Family Room

The durable polyester is heat-reflective, blocking out the hot sun while letting light in. It keeps your patio cool so you can enjoy it all day. The weatherproof panels give your RV patio extra shelter when the weather would normally chase you inside. When it starts to rain, zip them up and keep the party going. Or, if the wind is threatening to scatter your card game off the picnic table, these panels are a great wind block. The screen room stakes into the ground, so it will stay in place under harsh conditions.

Video Transcript for Review of Lippert Solera Family Room for 11 Foot Wide RV Awnings - LC362226

Hi there, I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a quick look at this Solera Family Room for RV Awnings. This setup. Obviously I don't have it all put together right now, but it is going to attach to your RV's Awning, and it's going to transform your covered area basically into an extra living space. Acts kind of like a tent, so it is gonna help block out extra heat, it's gonna be perfect for your outdoor dining, board games, and social gatherings on those hot days. It can also help keep bugs out and still allow you to enjoy the breeze, and it's gonna add an extra level of privacy for you.

So once you roll down the all weather panels you can use this as a secure sleeping area. So it is gonna kinda add some extra square footage to your RV living space, allow you to enjoy your time outdoors a little bit more, spread out perhaps. This is designed to work with the Solera Classic, Hybrid, and Solera 12 volt Power Awnings, as well as the Carefree Fiesta, Spirit, Pioneer Manual, Traveler, and Eclipse 12 volt Power Awnings, and the Dometic Sunchaser, 8500 Manual, Weather Pro, and 9100 series 12 volt Power Awnings. And so if you have any of those Awnings you're wanting to kind of put some walls up to enclose that space, make it a little more private, a little cooler, keep the bugs out, this is gonna be a great option for you. There are multiple different sizes, so depending on the width of your Awning, you wanna make sure you're getting the right part number.

You'll measure the Awning from the center of one arm to the center of the other arm, and then whatever that number is, we've got kits available from 10 feet in width all the way up to 21 feet in width. And so you wanna make sure that you're getting the right one so that it's gonna fit properly for you. And this is going to accommodate a rail to ground measurements up to 130 inches. There are multiple straps and integrated zippers here that are going to allow you to adjust the height, to accommodate and make sure that you have the appropriate height. So you are gonna get this front panel as well as these two sides, and the skirt here.

So you are gonna be covered on all four sides, and so you're not gonna have to worry about bugs coming in from underneath your RV. They do include this skirt that will attach to the RV, to make sure that you are enclosed and get in a nice comfortable environment to hang out in. These brackets are going to attach to your RV. They do include these screws to get that attached. They do recommend some sealant, but the sealant is not included so you will have to provide that yourself, just to make sure that where those screws are going in, you're not gonna have water leaking in and water damage and that sort of thing.

And they also include these self adhesive attachments here. These are going to be for your skirting. So it's nice that, you just peel off the back there and stick 'em onto your RV, and then I'll be able to snap your skirting on. So the idea here is that you will be able to set this up after your Awning is out. They do include a travel bag here that you'll be able to fold all these panels up and put 'em in the bag and kind of carry them separately. Obviously, you're not gonna be able to roll it up with your Awning, so you'll pack it all up, put it in one of your storage areas. I do kind of wanna unroll one of these to show you what you can expect. So like I said, it is kind of like a tent. It's got a nice rugged kind of canvassy feel to it, and then this bottom part, it's kind of like a tent bottom. And so it is gonna be very durable, hold up well, you can see we've got nice strong zippers that will allow us like I said to adjust the height setting so that we can make sure that we are at the proper height. And I'm really looking right now for the windows. Here we go. On the inside there, you can see we're gonna have this nice screen that's gonna allow wind to come through, give us that nice gentle breeze on those hot days but then will also help to keep the bugs out. And so really nice option here to help close in that covered area under your Awning, so that you can enjoy having a little bit more square footage for your RV without having to give up some of the conveniences of that shady protected area. You can see this is kind of an olive gray color I would call it. So it is gonna be very appropriate for your campsite. It's not gonna be a Gotti or anything like that. And this is made here in the USA, so you can trust it is gonna be a good quality material, it's gonna hold up well for you. In addition to the brackets and our self-adhesive attachment points, you can see they also include these sticks so that we can have a nice firm attachment to the ground, make sure that there's gonna be minimal gap underneath our sides and front, so that everything is going to be nice and sealed up, keep those insects and whatnot out. So overall, I think this is a really nice concept. Like I said. I keep going back to the idea that it's kind of a tent for your Awning, so it's going to take the roof of your Awning and just close in those side walls, so you have that extra privacy, gonna be more shaded so it would be little bit cooler, and help keep those insects out. So I think it's gonna be a great option to just add that extra living space onto your RV. Allow you to still be outside but have a little bit more protection and comfort. So that's gonna complete our look for today. Again I'm Michael with etrailer.com, thanks for watching..
