Hi there. I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a quick look at this replacement carbon air filter. This is going to be a 14 inch long by 7 1/2 inch wide replacement carbon air filter. This will replace the current filter in your Dometic Duo-Therm RV air conditioner. This can also work for other AC units that have matching filter dimensions.

This is compatible with both ducted or ductless AC systems. It does have this activated carbon that is going to easily absorb your odors caused by cigarettes, campfires, pets, and other sources. It's gonna do a great job of capturing your pollen, dust, mold spores, pet dander, and more, so that, especially if you have allergies, it's gonna be very important to switch this out pretty frequently. They do recommend replacing the filter after about 90 days of continuous use, or about once a year for occasional use. So, switching this out is just gonna help keep that air inside your RV clean, breathable and healthy.

This does meet the MERV-6 ratings. So, it is gonna be capable of capturing your harmful pollutants and allergens from three to 10 microns. So, even those really small particles are going to be captured in that activated carbon. It's very easy to get this installed. You do wanna make sure that you are installing it with the black side facing up.

So, just take out that original filter. It's probably gonna have a lot build up on it. Put the this one up in its place and you'll be ready to go. Now, these filters are a single use filter, so you don't want to try and wash and reuse them. It's going to tear them apart.

They won't hold up like they're supposed to. So, just about 90 days for your continuous use, or about once a year for your occasional use. Just go ahead and switch this out. It's gonna make sure that that air is gonna be nice and clean for you.
