Hi, everybody. Andy here, with etrailer.com. Let's take a look at this PullRite replacement base for the OEX 5th-wheel trailer hitches for Ram. Now, this has been designed specifically to fit your 2013 and newer RAM trucks with the factory installed prep package. And this is going to work with both the Super 5th and the Superlite hitch heads. And this is going to replace the base on your PullRite OEX 5th-wheel trailer hitch.

And as you probably know, PullRite's OEX line of hitches are uniquely designed to give you more options. You can buy one configuration, and if you prefer a different coupling method sometime down the road, all you have to do is swap out that coupler without the cost of buying a whole new hitch. Now this does have a gross towing capacity of 25,000 pounds and a vertical load limit of 6,250 pounds. And what's really great about this system, is this does not require any adapters, rails, or tools to install or remove in and out of the bed of your truck. This is going to install and remove quickly and easily.

So there's not gonna be any binding, unlike the other OEM or OE Puck systems. This is going to drop into the four receiver pucks that are built into your factory underbed rails. And then it's going to secure in place with these top-mounted mounting posts. And just to give you an idea of how these work, what you're gonna do, is after you get this base into the bed of your truck, you can actually remove these top mounting posts, just like this. And that's going to allow you to drag this or scoot this along the bed of your truck until you get this over the pucks in the bed of your truck.

And since you have these removed, you won't have to worry about potentially scratching the bed of your truck with these posts. And then once you have the holes over the pucks, then you can just drop this into place, and then you rotate it closed and then that will secure the posts into the pucks on the bed of your truck. Let me give you a closeup view here, and just to show you what's going on underneath. So this is going to be when you have it removed. And then when you drop it in, it's going to be in that position to where you could potentially just drop this into the puck system.

And then when you rotate it to the closed position position, that will then secure these posts into the pucks in the bed of your truck. And then you'll just secure it with the included bail pins, and then that's going to keep it secured in place. So, it's gonna be very easy. And then you can pull this system completely out of the bed of the truck if you wanna go back to hauling. So this is not, by any means, going to be a permanent install in the bed of your truck, taking up space when you're not using it. Now this is made here in the USA of quality american steel. This is going to resist rust and corrosion with this black powder coat finish. And this has been tested to SAE J2638 standards. Well, I think that's gonna wrap up our brief look today.
