Hello, everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a look at this SAE to OBDII port for the OptiMate battery charger or solar panels, has a 40 inch long cord. Now, this part here will maintain and monitor your battery through your OBDII port using this OBDII to SAE adaptor. This will convert a car or truck's OBDII port that's inside your cabin or passenger compartment to an OptiMate SAE battery charger connector. The adapter cable will let you maintain the battery through the OBDII port using this SAE connection, works with the OptiMate battery chargers, which we do sell separately, and also the OptiMate SAE battery monitor, which we sold separately, it's part number MA49DR. This part is also ideal for those OptiMate solar 10 watt or 20 watt kits that you can position inside your windshield, which we do sell separately, part number MA69JR and MA89JR.

On this cord here, if you noticed, has a 7.5 amp inline fuse, which will protect against any overloads. It does include this nice cap and weatherproof rubber seal for your SAE connector. So you can see, this you can slide on, make your connection, and it gives you a nice seal between your connection, and then when you're not plugged in, just put this cap over there to protect those terminals. And then when you go to plug in your SAE connector, take your cap off and plug it in. Few specs on this, the application again is OptiMate battery chargers or SAE battery monitor cable or the solar panels.

Again, the cable length on this cord is 40 inches, and the wire size used in this connector is 16 gauge wire size. But that should do it for the review on the SAE to OBDII port for the OptiMate battery charger or solar panels.
