The HideOut lets you store 2 bikes of any size on any flat surface in your home, garage or office. It also includes a protective cover and a net to anchor the rack and the cover in place for transport on your BossHog (sold separately) hitch-mounted cargo carrier.
The bike stand has V-shaped support arms with adjustable cradles that carry your bikes by the tires with no frame contact. It features 2 removable support arms - or wings - that form a "V" so that the weight of your bikes gets distributed evenly. This ensures level transport on your BossHog, and it eliminates the need for bike frame adapter bars normally required for mounting women's, children's, and alternative frame bikes on a hanging-style bike rack.
The support arms can be removed and stored away if you need to free up space when you aren't storing your bikes on the stand. Simply pull the pins at the base of the rack to remove the arms. The pins are tethered to the base so you won't lose them.
The upper wheel cradles adjust independently so that your bikes hang level on the stand. With your bikes in place adjust the lower sway stops so that they are flush against the bottom of your tires. This Zero-G bike freeze system eliminates all bike motion and prevents any contact between your bikes frames and the rack. To secure your bikes to the rack pull the rubber strap on each cradle and sway stop over the wheel and hook the tightest hole around the peg at the end of the cradle.
The cradles and sway stops are coated with rubberized nylon to protect your bike wheel surfaces from scratches and scuffs. This coating also provides friction to help grip your bikes' wheels.
To adjust each cradle and sway stop for the proper spacing and height for your specific bikes simply remove the cotter pin, pull out the cradle, and replace it in the desired hole.
Foam pads on the support arms help keeps bikes stationary and rattle-free during transport. The pads slide up and down the support arms to accommodate different bike sizes and protect the paint from scratches.
To install the bike stand on your BossHog simply center it on the deck and use the included ratchet straps to fasten the rack arms to the holes on the side rails.
The custom-fit cover protects your bikes from weather, road grime, dust, and bugs. The material is water-resistant, insulated, and foam padded so your gear stays dry and protected from scratches and scuffs. It has a large zipper that makes it easy to cover and access your bikes. It secures to the bike stand with 2 cam-buckle straps that wrap around the bag and carrier.
The DragNet cargo net lets you secure the bag to your BossHog. It attaches easily with 14 integrated plastic hooks that connect to holes evenly spaced around the perimeter. It's made with a bungee material that stretches tight around the cover and helps reduce wind drag from loose material.
