Ellen: Hey everyone, I'm Ellen here at etrailer.com and we're going to be taking a quick look at the Single Rocker Switch. The nice thing about this is that it is going to be water resistant or weatherproof. So you can mount this somewhere outside and still be able to use it without any worries.It's IP rated at IP66. So the first six there means that it's dust proof. No dust is going to get in here and cause any issues. The other six means that it's resistant to water from powerful jets, so it's rated for that.

Use with storms, rain shouldn't have any effect on it at all.It is going to be a nice little white switch. It is also available in black. You can find that here at etrailer.com as well if that's going to match up with your application better.You're going to have the same specs otherwise. So if we take a look at the back, we'll have our two connections there. This is just going to be a single pole single throw switch, so it's going to turn one thing on or off.As far as the cutout size, it's about one and half inches in length.

The two tie-ins on either side do make it a little bit wider than that, closer to one and five eighth of an inch. But you want to make sure that whatever you're putting this into is smaller so that those can have some tension and hold it in place. Width wise, it's about three quarters of an inch.Overall, the outer edges here, it's about one and three quarters inches long by about an inch wide. And from the face to the top of that switch, it's about half inch deep. Overall with the electrical connections is about two inches deep.For the power ratings for AC power, it's rated for 20 amps at 125 volts, or 10 amps at 250 volts, or 12 amps at 125 volts, and 3/4 horsepower or 10 amps at 277 volts at 3/4 horsepower.

It's rated at 30 amps for 12 volts DC.Again, it does come in white or black. This one happens to be the white one, and that's pretty much all there is to it for our look at the single rocker switch.
