Ellen: Hey, everybody. I'm Ellen here at etrailer.com, and we're taking a quick look at the momentary on-off switch. This gives you a nice replacement for an existing switch that maybe got damaged or shorted out or something happened to it, or if you just need to add in a new one where you didn't already have one. As you can see, that switch will just turn momentarily on whenever you're pressing down on it, and then as soon as you release, it turns off. So that's going to be good for those things that we need to just run out a little bit, things like slide outs or a jack, something like that. This is a single pole single throw.
That just means that it's going to turn one thing on and off, and that's all it's going to do for you. Again, it's just that momentary switch. So, it has that little spring action to it.It is rated for 13 amps at 125 volts AC, 10 amps at 250 volts AC, and a half horsepower at five amps at 14 volts DC. As far as the size for our cutout, we'll need about an inch right on. The little tabs on the side will hold into whatever you're going to push this into.
So if you're putting it into a plate or just into a cutout, that's going to be what applies the pressure. Those do move in, and the narrowest that they go there is about an inch and an eighth. They can maybe go a little bit smaller, but an inch and an eighth would probably be fine for you. You just don't want to go any wider than an inch and a quarter. And in the other direction, we're looking at about half an inch.
The outside edge is about an inch and a quarter by about three-quarters of an inch. It sits up from the surface that it's mounted to by about three-eights of an inch. You can see it is brown in color. There are two others available that are pretty much the same. One is in white, and one is in black. And there are a lot of other switches as well here at etrailer.com.
So if you need any other kinds, you can find them right here. It's made in the USA. That pretty much does it for our look at the momentary switch. I hope this has been helpful in deciding if this is the right one for you. As I mentioned, we do have a lot of other options available here at etrailer.com, along with a lot of stuff for your RVs, trailers, and more. So, check it out. Thanks for watching.
