Ellen: Hey everyone. I'm Ellen here at etrailer.com and we're going to be taking a quick look at the momentary switch. This is going to be a single pole single throw switch. So it's just going to turn something on for as long as you hold down on that rocker. We can take a little closer, look at it to make sure this is going to be the right switch for your application. So you can see it's just going to be this nice little switch. It is available in white.
So as you press down on that, it springs back. So it only keeps something on for as long as you hold it down, hence the name momentary switch. As far as the specs, this is rated for 13 amps at 125 volts AC, or 10 amps at 250 volts AC, or 1 horsepower at 5 amps at 14 volts DC. As far as the size, for the cutout, you'll need to have at least half inch, maybe a hair more than that, nine sixteenths. And then length, about an inch. There are couple of tines on either side that are going to hold that in place in a faceplate or a hole that you actually cut out yourself, or a mounting position. So it looks like about an inch and an eighth is the smallest that I can get this down.
Those do expand out to hold that in place. So as long as it's smaller than an inch and a quarter, it should work out pretty well. The size of the switch on the outside is about 11 sixteenths or just shy of three quarters of an inch. And then the length is about an inch and a quarter. It does come in white again, and it is made in the USA.That's about all there is to it for our look at the momentary switch. I hope this video has been helpful in deciding if this is the right switch for your application.

Needed to replace a 49 year old vintage momentary rocker switch quickly. A quick search on line got me to E-Trailer. It was reasonably priced and looked like it would work so took a chance. It got here fairly quick and was just what I needed. Fits in the original slot and has a nice smooth action with no hint of binding. Very nice. Thanks!
Great price, very helpful staff. Very fast delivery
