Ellen: Hey everyone. I'm Ellen here at etrailer.com and we're going to be taking a look at the single momentary switch. This allows you to operate two things at once and running them in or out. So it can be perfect for landing gear. It's also weather resistant or water resistant, so we can have this outside and it shouldn't have any issues dealing with rain, dirt, and debris flying around. Should be able to withstand that just fine.If we take a little closer look at it, you can see our connection points on the back here.
So this is going to be a double pole double throw. That's basically going to take two points or two pathways and transfer the current from one to the other. So again, perfect for sending the signals to your landing gear for the driver's side and passenger side and running them out or in.The power ratings for this. It's rated for twenty amps at 125 volts AC, or ten amps at 250 volts AC, or twelve amps at 125 volts AC and a three quarter horsepower, or ten amps at 277 volts AC at three quarter horsepower, or thirty amps at fourteen volts DC. As far as the size, overall measures about one and three quarter inches long by about an inch wide.
The cutout that this will fit into will be about an inch and a half at least, if not, a little bit more. Could maybe go out to about an inch and five eighths. The little pieces on the side, it's going to help to provide the tension into your cutout, to hold it in place. So you want to make sure that it's not any more than about one and five eighths. I'd say that's about as far out as it can go. Width wise, about three quarters of an inch.
Overall depth, about two inches for just the face plate portion or just the outer portion it's about a quarter of an inch. It is made in the USA and that's about all there is to it for our look at the momentary switch. Again, momentary just means that the power is only going to go out as long as we hold down that switch and then it springs back and turns off. So I hope this video has been helpful. Thanks for watching.
And we'll see you next time.
