Brake Controller Wiring Adapter for 2014 Ford F-150
Question:
What adapter would I need for a 2014 Ford F150. Also do I need to have the dealer program the truck after I install the controller

Expert Reply:
The adapter you need to install an electric brake controller in your 2014 Ford F-150 depend on which controller you have. If you don't already have a controller I recommend the Prodigy P3, part # 90195, because it's the easiest to use and install. For the P3, or any other Tekonsha controller use part # 22292 for the adapter.
A few other popular brands:
For Hayes controllers use part # HA81794-HBC
For Hopkins controllers use part # HM47845
For Curt controllers use part # C51436
If you have a different brake controller than any of these let me know which brand.
From our experience the 2014 F-150 does not need to be programmed at all for a brake controller.
