Today we're going to take a look at the Furrion Cable TV Marine Power Inlet. This comes as a square mount and it comes in white. Now this is going to allow you to have that marine grade power inlet so you can stream your TV or satellite even while at sea. It's going to have an indicator in that connection to let you know when you have a live connection. This is going to marine grade fiber filled polyester, so that outer casing is going to be stable enough to withstand UV rays and will also have nickel plated brass pins that are going to resist corrosion so we don't have to worry about this rusting out over time even when we're out at sea.The cap, as you can see, stays open on it's own to make connections a little easier. It does have a universal fit so it's going to work with your cable connection.
At the back, we'll have our bracket to keep our wire in place, along with those two bolts to snug down that wire and keep it all nice and tight. There's also a grommet or a gasket back here to make sure that everything stays nice and water tight. If we pull our back bracket off, we can see the back of that connection. This is tested to marine UL 498 and CSA C22.2 standards. This just mounts to the wall, the hardware for that is not included, so you will have to pick that up on your own. As far as the overall dimensions, our outer casing is going to be 4 3/8" long by 3 7/16" wide and it's going to be 1 3/8" deep.
The mounting hole dimensions going from center to center, those are going to be 2 7/16" apart going in both directions. The plug insert is going to fit a PC with a CTI greater than 600 volts. Whenever you close that cap, it is going to have a lip to keep it closed so you don't have to worry about it flying open. As you can hear, it's going to have that nice loud, audible snap and it's going to be a pretty tight fit. While it's just off a wall, it's kind of hard to open on your own, so that's something to keep in mind that you do have a bit of force to open that back up.Our back bracket just snaps into place and the grommet slides over the top.And that's going to do it for our look at the Furrion Cable TV Marine Power Inlet.
