Hi, everyone, Aidan here with etrailer. Today, we're gonna be taking a look at these mounting brackets for your Wolf Pack Pro boxes. It's gonna be great for your Front Runner platform racks because it allows this box to essentially be bolted down directly to your platform rack. And when paired with padlocks or some sort of locks sold separately, it can act as a theft deterrent too. Let's check 'em out. So one piece of the bracket will get bolted to the platform itself and the other will hook into the lip and then just latch into place right there.

Now, there's gonna be that bracket set on both sides of the box, which results in a completely solid hole on here. This thing is not gonna budge because it's, again, just bolted directly to the rack. So there's really not any room for movement. There's a small hole on the side of the latch here, that's where you could add your lock, and it would basically prevent this latch from being opened, and in turn, removing that mounting bracket. So that's what's gonna keep things secure.

Again, you will have to find that yourself and add it, but out of the box, it's going to just keep the box held down tight. And if this is in place, it will prevent you from opening the lid. And when the latch is opened on the box, you'll see, I can't push it open because it's going to hit that bracket. And that's gonna be true for the standard lid or the high-profile taller lid on the Wolf Pack box. So if you've got one or the other, you can trust that the bracket's gonna work all the same.

And these are the base brackets that will bolt into the crossbar channels here, spaced apart by three right now if you mounted the box longways like this, but there's alternate mounting holes in the back of the brackets here if you wanted to mount it sideways like this. So the options are there, depending on what works best with your setup. And it's gonna include all the hardware you need. But whenever you're ready, the box will just sit on top of these brackets, hiding the hardware underneath, and it'll give you plenty of room to get those brackets over top and latch down. And overall, if you're going to be using this box, then I think the brackets are a must.

The one thing I would might complain about is the price. It is gonna be expensive, almost the same as the box itself, so there's a bit of a trade off there. Sure, you can always get a ratchet strap. The box does have a small cutout here where you could run a strap over the top. And is the strap going to be cheaper Yes. Is it gonna be as nice No. So for me, I would trade off the security and just take that bracket for the better fit and know that I'm not having to worry about, is the strap tight enough Is the strap gonna come loose No, it's bolted in. It's latched in. And if you pair it up with some locks, it's going to be locked in. So it's gonna keep theives out and keep my stuff on the roof nice and safe.
