I was thinking about buying a trailer to haul my Axis Utv because of the 57 inch width, 75 inch wheelbase and 118 inch length.
Then after doing some research I came across some videos on Mad ramps. I called etrailer, gave them the dimensions and they said the MR54FR ramps would work, so I pulled the trigger and boy am I glad I did !
I love the ease of installation along with how easy it to load and unload by myself. One thing thing I going to do though is make some blocks to put on the inside of my wheel wells to help let the front wheels rest on. The width in-between my wheel wells is 51 inches with my tires being around 55 inches wide. My front tires must be on or in-between the wheel wells for the ramps to work with my Utv,so when I load it, the front tires get kinda wedged in- between the wheel wells. By adding some blocks this will allow the wheels to rest partially on the blocks and wheel well together which will be ideal. I love these ramps ! They also allow for plenty of storage room for other gear in front of the Utv since the whole rig isn't in the truck bed.
My truck is a 2016 GMC 2500 HD 6.5 foot bed.

Well made. Works just as advertised. I’ve only used it once but i think it’s going to make hauling my golf cart much easier.

Very Well. They are very heavy but of course have to be to carry a 1,000 + lb buggy. Seem to be built very well except for the plastic sleeve on the pivot bar is no lasting at all. Over all i am very happy with them and would buy again!

Great product! I have a 2015 GMC Sierra with only a front leveling kit. I was worried about having the weight of my quad farther back affecting driving since it wouldn’t be centered over my axle. There is a little difference in handling but works great. I may consider bags in the future but not necessary now. Loading and unloading of the quad has never been easier or faster. The price tag had me second guessing the purchase until I used these the first time. I mostly use my quad for hunting when no one else is around if something goes wrong. These ramps take that fear away. I would highly recommend these and don’t regret my purchase at all. This works as well as a trailer without the extra registration, having to park it somewhere, and maneuvering in tight areas. Plus there’s plenty of room left in the front of my bed for storing things and not having to remove my tri fold tonneau cover every time.

Works perfectly on my 2019 Ford Ranger, added the Timbren suspension enhancement also.. couldn’t be happier..

very good product, easy to install and use. I'll let you know how it works with the Camso track I have.

The product works great! after a year of use it continues to be so useful for throwing anything that fits on the back of the truck that has wheels, it even works for my SxS when I put the snow tracks on without any modifications, Thanks for a good solid product.

by:

Great product easy setup and great qual ity.

by:

The mad-ramps overall work very well for my needs. The ramp setup is fairly heavy but I understand why. I built a storage and lift device that eliminated the need to install by hand. Short of needing to glue the vinyl slides I am very pleased with my purchase.

by:

Well I can tell you already I'm not to happy with the packaging as the shipping boxes are in terrible condition and in some spots the metal from the ramps is coming through the box, which means scratches and dents are already on this before I have even taken it out of the box. Rust is in its future now!!! Also I was told that you guys would also be sending me the mad ramps storage hangers which I did not get. Not to happy thus far.

I sincerely apologize that the ramps arrived in this condition. I will have our customer service team reach out to you to assist you. The ramp storage hangers are sold separately as part # MR27DR on our site.

Ramps are easy to use but loading cart scuffs tailgate. Driving with that much weight hanging behind the rear axle makes the front end of my F-150 feel light and unstable at highway speeds

You mentioned that using the ramps is making the Ford 150 feel light on the front end. For this I would recommend using air bags as this can help with rear sag on the rear axle and level out the load. If you can confirm the model year of your Ford and if it has 2WD or 4WD then I can recommend air bags for you.

by:

Awesome ramps. I used them for a mid size Nissan Frontier, with an Outlander Max Limited 1000. Works perfect

by:

Fast shipping!!!! Had the product in stock, would definitely order from them again.

by:

Went together exactly according to installation instructions. It’s too heavy for me to remove by myself. Need some sort of wheeled support to remove from the hitch receiver, if you have any suggestions. I plan to use it three times a week to get to the course.

Great idea and concept, terrible construction ...I followed all instructions and videos to make sure every thing was correct, weighed my Honda Pioneer 500 before loading it weighed 1045 lbs. well within the limits of 1400 lbs Max..and the main bar that slides in the reciever broke right in half..reached out to manufacturer and no response. Took it to a welding shop to see if it can be fixed and they said no way cause of liability...plus they said poor quality metal used.. Over $XXXX down the drain. Buy at your own risk

I wanted to reach out to you about your experience with the ATVUTV ramps. I have a few follow-up questions I wanted to ask. Do you still have the ramps? Would you be able to send a picture of where they broke? When you were loading the Pioneer did you push or drive it up the ramps?

Brian

3/10/2022

When the mad-ramps failed I was loading my 2018 Honda Pioneer ..attached is a picture of it as you can see it has a cargo box as well as fuel tank that was completely empty so over weight was not an issue...I also attached a photo of where approx failedbroke although it is not an actual photo ...I recently lost some picture off my phone. I no longer have the mad-Ramps as I did not get any results from my contacts with mad ramps and spoke with several local welding and machine shops in my area and was told that they did not want to be liable if it were break again as they could not guarantee a repair would last as the metal had been compromised and would be a big risk.

I do know that the ramps do have 1 year warranty. In order to have them replaced we would need to have the original ramps returned to our facility.

Good system. I was looking for a way to haul my golf cart to sporting clays events. I had no room to store a trailer. This system works well, but needs some additions for non-lifted golf carts. If you have a non-lifted golf cart with less than 20" wheels you will need to add the golf cart riser kit, the ramp extensions, or the pivot stops or a combination of these. I ended up getting the extensions and the pivot stops. The pivot stops allow you to load fully into the bed of your truck, and the extensions keep the foot board for the rear seat from dragging as you load. If you want to use the Mad Ramps as designed, you may be able to get away with just the extensions or the riser kit. My cart had 18.5" tires and with just the Mad Ramps the frame of the cart would bottom out on the tailgate.

I decided to go with a combination of the extensions and the pivot stops. I like having the cart fully into the bed of the truck, which makes for better handling when driving. This combination does require a couple of extra minutes to set up and break down, but works well for me.

I ordered the Mad Ramps from etrailer on Thursday and they delivered on Friday.........super fast shipping! I had to get the extensions and pivot stops from Mad Ramps directly, since etrailer doesn't carry them. The whole system is a little heavier than expected, but I can get it on the truck by myself in 10 minutes or less. Total cost with the extensions and pivot stops was still less than a 10' trailer and takes up a whole lot less space. Plus, in my state trailers have to be registered and that is another yearly fee and hassle that the Mad Ramp systems avoid.

I wish they had made the ramps about 1 foot longer, and I would not need the extensions.

by:

I took a chunk out of my blacktop driveway with the ramps the first time I used the ramps. I thought that might be an issue when I watched the ramps on videos but no one mentioned that in any review. From now on I will load out on the street and it won't be an issue otherwise I love the ramps.

by:

This is a very good product and it allowed me to carry my sxs in a smaller truck

by:

System works well! The lighting and wiring could be easier and cleaner.

by:

the online shopping, the product, and the fast shipping was excellent, ordered online on Sunday, in my driveway on Thursday, the only problem was with UPS handling, both boxes ends were gone I just hope nothing fell out.

by:

The ramps are perfect. I researched them for a couple of weeks and they are as easy as they look. A little on the heavy side for a single person but manageable.

by:

Great knowledgeable customer service

by:

Amazing product. Just as advertised. Great quality.

by:

Easy to install and easy to load atv

by:

Super fast shipping!

by:

No dings or dents and went together in 10mins

by:

For the size of the item i'm very surprised at how fast I got it. Nice job.

  • Ramps For Loading Motorized Wheelchairs In To A 2015 Ford Transit T-150 Van
Hello Paul, that is a really good question. I just chatted with the folks at Mad Ramps, and they said they really cannot advise using the # MR54FR ramps for loading motorized wheelchairs into the back of a 2015 Ford Transit T-150 Van. The main concern is that the ramps would be too far apart to accommodate the wheelchairs wheelbase. The ramps cannot be moved closer together or further apart and they are designed to accommodate the standard ATV/UTV/Golf Cart wheelbases. That and if you were...

The space between the rungs on the Mad-Ramps Pivoting Ramp System for ATV/UTV Ramps # MR54FR is 5-3/4". I'm not sure how that will fit with the smaller front tires of your ZTR. I'm sure the back ones will be just fine but the biggest issue I see is the deck on your mower coming into contact with the tailgate since the ramps start to pivot as the cargo weight shifts. Because of this I recommend going with a standard ramp set like the CargoSmart S-Curve Loading Ramp Set # 3483086-2 so you...

  • Can The Mad-Ramps Pivoting Ramp System Be Used For Hauling a Golf Cart
Mad-Ramps Pivoting Ramp System for ATV/UTV Ramps # MR54FR should be able to help you haul your golf cart, but you'll want to check a couple of things first. Starting with the wheelbase, you'll want to measure from the center of the front axle back to the center of the rear axle. If your measurement exceeds 88" then your golf cart is likely going to be too long to fit. This is mostly designed for small to medium ATVs/UTVs that are 60" wide or less with only one row of seats. • Compatibility of the Mad-Ramps Pivoting Ramp System # MR54FR with 10 Ft. Wheelbase Golf Cart
While we have a great ramp set you can use, the Mad-Ramps Pivoting Ramp System # MR54FR will not work with your 10' (120") wheelbase on your Advance EV golf cart. This is because the # MR54FR only accommodates wheelbases up to 88" measured from the center of the front axle to the center of the rear axle. As a great alternative, I recommend using a ramp set like the Arched Loading Ramp # 288-07452-2. This ramp set has a maximum weight capacity of 1,500 pounds and folds for easy storage....
