Axles flipped, and going down the road.

No issues with the bearings

The axles that I ordered last year are still working out great. But even better than the parts was the service I got from etrailer. It was so great working with a company who took the time to listen to my project and help me get the right parts I needed, especially coming right off the heels of a terrible experience dealing with bad information and wrong parts from a competitor. Even with some damages in shipping, the returns/ and replacements were no hassle, with most issues being quickly resolved and not even costing me any additional downtime. As a contractor keeping a small fleet rolling, your competency and professionalism have made me a customer for life!! You guys at etrailer will be my first stop for trailer parts.

Received my parts today and after examining everything all looks good.
The quality of parts looks excellent and can't wait to start installing them.
Shipping was fast and arrived as they said.
Great company to buy with.
Will was very helpful and very knowledgeable about parts.
If you call would definitely ask for Will.

by:

Perfect fit as described! Uploaded picture for proof. So far i couldent be happier with etrailer.com, great prices and fast shiping. I haven't had an issue with anything so i have no opinion as far as customer service goes. I would definitely recommend to a friend.

by:

Not much to say, they are consistent and fit the axle tube well. Clean welding material.

by:

Fit perfect

by:

Perfect fit, average quality.

Got what i was looking for and got great input from Customer Assistance.
Thanks

Products were as advertised, worked well and installation went as planned. Accomplished task - moved under hung leaf springs to over axle (tandem drop) on older horse trailer, to regain bumper clearance - new truck sits higher than old, also allowed extended goose neck to eliminate tail gate damage, while leveling trailer (nose no longer stuck in air). I would purchase again without hesitation.

Works as expected, Im happy with the product and results- would purchase again if I have a trailer in the future that needs a lift.

The parts arrived quickly and were an exact fit, thank you!

I replaced my leaf springs, drums, brakes and added the Dexter E-Z Suspension kit to my Keystone Cougar Fifth Wheel trailer last year. This was my first time working with etrailer and I can’t say enough about how well it all went from the ordering to the install.
Tammie P did a amazing job with knowing what parts would work best on my trailer. Tammie also gave me updates on my deliveries that I appreciated. I had a trip planned short after I received my parts. So having someone at their end checking on arrival dates helped. In the future I will definitely use etrailer for all my trailer needs. Thanks again for all the help! Great Team....

I installed a set of these spring mount brackets one year ago and I am glad I purchased it from etrailer. I purchased it on line just to make sure it would work on the 1964 axle that I was going to weld it to in order to complete the install of a new set of springs that I also purchased from etrailer. Everything fit perfectly and etrailer is now my go to for all my trailer needs. George J. was very professional and knew the product(s) would work. And it did!

Thank you George and etrailer.

by:

Great product and great company to work with. I ordered regular shipping and they upgraded me to 3 day shipping an no charge. Very satisfied with the product and company.

by:

Product was exactly as described. Used the info on website for location of mounts. Couldnt be happier.
Awesome customer service as well.

by:

The seats were just what I needed Last year I moved the trailer
springs from the bottom of the axel to the top when I did I had
to turn the axel end to end it caused the trailer to wear tires out .
brakes to wear out .I am turning axel back and welding new seats
leaving hubs running right. Back to factory only on top of axel.

Thank You

by:

Work great

I am using two second hand axles for my trailer and the spring seats were in the wrong place. They were hard to find because I didn't know what to call them, but I was really grateful they were available. They will complete the installation of the axles and are sturdy and cut perfectly.

by:

I had ordered some parts online to rebuild the suspension on one of our trailers. Customer service called me a short time later to inform me that they were out of stock on some items, they asked if it was possible to substitute some items. She was able to find the exact parts I needed in a different kit. The parts came within 3 days, very well packed, and they fit perfectly! This is the 3rd time I've ordered from etrailer and they have exceeded my expectations every time. EXCELLENT customer service and quality parts.

by:

Although I just bought a rather small item, the service was great, the person I talked with was friendly & helpful, and was shipped on time. We welded the spring seat bracket on the day we got them!
I was very pleased, and will hopefully shop here again, and tell others about your website. Thanks!

by:

I recently started an new business and have purchased multiple products from etrailer.com over the last couple of months. I have been very happy with the ease of ordering and product quality. I initially ordered from several suppliers and have now starter ordering from etrailer.com only. They have the best pricing on the parts I purchase and am very happy with them!

by:

the bracket helped raise the trailer 5 1/2" allowing for more clearance going in and out of parking lots but mainly off road into the mountains. Working alone the project took maybe 4 hours.

by:

rate the product great, because of the price and availability, was shipped fast, faster then I needed. These perches can go for as much as 7 times the price at trailer supply place in town. The bad the shipping was a bit steep, flat rate could have been a lot cheaper.

  • Replacement Axles for Trailer With 94 Inch Long 5,200 Pound Dexter Axles
I reached out to Dexter and found that your current axles have a capacity of 5,200 lbs and measure 94" hub face to hub face. Although we do not have a 94" axle you will be able to use the Dexter Trailer Axle Beam with E-Z Lube Spindles - 95" Long - 5,200 lbs # 6340624 without any issues. The only difference will be that your tires will stick out 1/2" farther on either side of the trailer. This also has a spring-center-to-spring-center length of 80". If that does not match what you currently...

  • 86-1/2 Inch Long Trailer Axle Rated for 5,200 lbs
We do not have a trailer axle beam with those exact specs. The closest we have is the Dexter Trailer Axle w/ Electric Brakes - E-Z Lube - 6 on 5-1/2 Bolt Pattern - 86-1/2" - 5.2K # 8327816-EB which is 86-1/2 inches hub-face to hub-face but 71-1/2 inches spring-center to spring-center. You could have new spring seats welded onto this one with the Spring Seat for Typical 5,200-lb to 7,200-lb, Round Trailer Axles with 3" Diameter # TRSS300.

  • Replacement Axles for 2017 Grand Design Reflection 29RS
What you're looking for is an 86-1/2" long replacement axle. Since you will need new hubs and drums, along with brakes, I recommend getting the # 8327816-EB. This has a 71-1/2" spring center length so you will also need to cut off the spring seats and weld on # TRSS300 to match the current 68-1/2" measurement. Grand Design does a great job listing their parts, but unfortunately they don't include the leaf spring information. You will need to measure your current leaf springs to find the...

  • How to Determine Fit of 8327816 Replacement Dexter Trailer Axle
The Dexter Trailer Axle you mentioned, part # 8327816 is not a trailer specific part. If its 5200 lb capacity meets or exceeds the capacity of your current axle and the 86-1/2 inch hub face to hub face and 71-1/2 inch center spring seat to center spring seat measurement match up to what you currently have, the axle will work well. The spring seat dimension isn't horribly important, you can always grind it off and relocate a replacement like # TRSS300 if need be. This axle is compatible...

  • Can 7,000 lb Trailer Axle e35GR Replace 94 Inch Hub Face, 77 Inch Spring Center Axle
Even though the spring centers are different, since you have the same hub face to hub face measurement of 94 inches, you can replace your Lippert axle with the Trailer Axle Beam with Easy Grease Spindles # e35GR. However, the spring seats do need to be in the same spot, so you'll need to weld on new Spring Seat for Axles with 3" Diameter # TRSS300. The hub face measurement is the most important one as it is common to move the spring seats, so that's all you'd need to do to use the Trailer...

  • Replacement 95 Long 7,000 lbs Dexter Axle w/ 4 Drop Spindles
I just heard back from Dexter and they gave me some information on your axle. I have a solution for you and it is very close to your specifications but you will need to have the spring seats moved. The Dexter Trailer Axle Beam with 4" Drop E-Z Lube Spindles - 95" Long - 7,000 lbs item # 8327860 axle you were looking at is what Dexter recommended. There are no available axles with a 77" spring seat. These have a 79-1/4" spring seat and the replacements you will need are Item # TRSS300.

You are measuring correctly for the spring seats and you definitely want to replace that axle as the spindle is toast. You will also want to measure for the hub face to hub face measurements. If you have 89 inch hub to hub, you can use the Dexter Trailer Axle Beam with E-Z Lube Spindles - 89" Long - 6,000 lbs # 8327830 but you will need to have the spring seat # TRSS300 welded in the correct locations. • Changing 3,500 Pound Trailer Axles to 5,200 Pound Axles
The first thing to consider is if the axle(s) are actually bent. Trailer axles have a bow in them so they are higher at the center than at the ends. When under load the axles straighten out some. That is part of how they get their capacities. If the axles are bent from damage then that is another story. Like you said the 5,200 pound axles that we have include spring seats that are on the bottoms of the axles. In order to have the spring stacks on top of the axles all you would need to...

  • Is There an Over-Under Kit for a 2-3/4" Diameter Mobile Home Axle?
Unfortunately Hans, we do not have an over under kit specific to mobile home axles as they were designed to be used to get the mobile home to where it needs to be and thrown away after they were done. Several people saw these as a cheap opportunity to get an axle and make home made trailers. But none of the trailer manufacturers provide support parts for them. While the spring center on this axle is 79" you can have new Spring Seats # TRSS300 welded at the 76" you need. This axle is rated for 7,000lbs but will use the same #42 Spindle # TRU37FR and brake flange as the 6,000lb axle allowing you to use it. • Can 5,200 lb Axles be Replaced With 7,000 lb Axles
I appreciate the info, and while we can get you a higher capacity axle, a 7,000 lb axle can't replace a 5,200 lb axle because the hub-face to hub-face measurement on 7k axles is too long, coming in at 94 inches at the least. But what we can do instead is get you a 6,000 lb axle with the same hub-face to hub-face measurement that will also allow you to use the same hub and drum. I am sorry to hear about all the issues you are having with your trailer. Based on what you described, I would lean towards an issue with the spindle rather than the weight capacity of the hubs. The reason being that if your hubs were truly underrated, you would most likely have issues with all of them not just the same spindle. The damage to your spindle is likely not noticeable however, it only takes a small degree off center to cause problems. If the angle at which the spindle lies in...

They sure can! What you will need to do is replace the spring seats that are currently welded on the axle in question, and have a qualified welder weld them in the correct location to match your trailer. Now the correct spring seats will be dependent on the diameter of your axle tube. In order to use the Dexter Trailer Axle Beam part # 8327830 with leaf springs mounted on top you would need to weld on new spring seats with part # TRSS300. The reason for this is that the existing spring seats are installed for use with a leaf spring mounted under the axle. Most think you can simply rotate the axle to move the spring seats on top but this cannot be done as the axle has a slight bend to help dissipate the weight when loaded.
