Can the Dexter Trailer Axle Beam Part # 8327830 Be Used with a Top Mounted Leaf Spring

Question:

Can i use this axle with a springs on top? I have removed all the old axle, spring and shakel hardware from the old set up and I bought all new hardware Part number 8327830

In order to use the Dexter Trailer Axle Beam part # 8327830 with leaf springs mounted on top you would need to weld on new spring seats with part # TRSS300. The reason for this is that the existing spring seats are installed for use with a leaf spring mounted under the axle. Most think you can simply rotate the axle to move the spring seats on top but this cannot be done as the axle has a slight bend to help dissipate the weight when loaded.
