Hey everyone, it's Evangeline here at etrailer and today we'll be taking a look at our taillight and license plate bracket kit for your etrailer cargo carrier right here at etrailer.com. With your hitch-mounted cargo carrier, you have more space for your cargo, but you also have more space added to the back of your vehicle. So when you're driving around, you wanna make sure people see that you have that load behind you. Adding taillights as well as your license plate can help a lot with that. You have different kits available but you can also get them individually. This is a taillight mounting bracket and then this is the license plate mounting bracket.
So with this, you get both of them together, a pair and your license plate. Now this is designed specifically for the etrailer cargo carrier as well as some CURT cargo carriers. And there are also some lights that work very well with these brackets. You can also use them in other situations though so just double check our product page here at etrailer.com to make sure it matches your carrier. For use with other carriers, this can work if you have a three quarter inch square rail.
And from the top of the rail to the bottom of the bracket, that is five and a half inches of space this needs. All your hardware will be included. So let's take a look at that. So installing this is gonna be pretty simple. You are gonna have to use your own tools though.
So you're gonna need two 13 millimeter wrenches as well as a 10 millimeter wrench to tighten things down. Starting with your taillight bracket. Pop that in. I push it as far to the side as possible. Then you're gonna get your hardware so that's gonna be a bolt and a flat washer that goes through the top.
And then there's going be a flat washer and a nut on the bottom. For your license plate brackets, you're gonna have to have your license plate ready, so just pop the bracket over the rail, get your license plate and your hardware. So flat washer, split washer, bolt. And just secure it to the bracket. Tighten it down with a 10 millimeter wrench until that split washer flattens. And that's it. You now have your taillight and license plate bracket set up. The taillights are not included with this kit. You can find them kit together here at etrailer or you can purchase them separately. It's a very quick and simple process, especially when you have a specific carrier that it's designed for. If you have another carrier, hopefully this video helped you out with those dimensions and specs. Very helpful with adding your lights as well as your license plate to the back of your hitch-mounted cargo carrier. Works with e98874, C18153, and C18152 carriers.The license plate bracket is perfect and is easy to install. While the mounting brackets for the lights were easy to install the lights I purchased fit OK. Unfortunately, they easily pop out of place.
