Product as described and expected. Does exactly as intended. Very fast shipping, great service!

by:

This is a high quality product

by:

Item arrived as advertised and well packaged. I should have orders a longer one though, but that was my fault for not running a tape measure properly.... :)

by:

One of the welding spots looks like it was stopped short from the end? I think it’s okay.
Thanks

I sent the photos you included to my contact at Equal-i-zer. He said the shank has weld pockets that allow the weld to be mostly below the surface, so what is visible on the outside is not the only weld holding the shank together. He confirmed with his Quality Engineer that the welds are fine and the shank is safe to use.

PRODUCT WORKS PERFECTLY

by:

Our new F-150 was a little taller than our old trailer pull vehicle and the lowest setting on our Fastway E2 was a little too high. This was a perfect replacement for the original E2 piece but with extra drop, and let me make the tongue level again. It is really solid and heavy!

by:

High quality with good welds. Be aware it is heavy. Perfect height for setting up my Equalizer hitch on my 2017 Ram 1500 4X2. Needed a 5" drop for my enclosed trailer with a 19" hitch height. Can't go wrong with Equalizer products

by:

I received great help from the salesperson on the phone and was able to order the right length part. Paid for next day shipping but it didn’t ship in time. They called and notified me immediately and refunded the accelerated shipping fee. Product was the right choice

by:

I did not realize that I would need a longer shank when we switched tow vehicles, but the Nissan Armada receiver is actually higher than my GMC 2500HD. So much so that the 3" drop I was using didn't work. Fortunately eTrailer had this in stock and got it too me in 2 days (I had it expedited). It looks and works exactly like the Equalizer shank I had originally, but with a longer drop.

by:

I had changed trucks an needed a large drop to keep the Airstream level. This worked perfect.

Continues to work perfect, as designed.

by:

The shank is what I ordered and it will do the job I wanted it for. The shank came in very quick after e trailer received it from the manufacturer which it took awhile but etrailer did not pressure me to get something I didn't want.I will say etrailer Sent the shank out the same day they receive it.7

by:

I have a 06 Dodge 2500 with 35" tires and this was what I needed to get my trailer towing level. Very well made and very heavy when the ball mount is attached

by:

I ordered the equal-i-zer weight dist. shank from E-Trailer . It was a fair price and showed up at my door less than a week after it was ordered . It is exactly what I needed to safely tow our trailer .

by:

Bought a new truck going from a Colorado to a Titan XD. Needless to say there was a significant change in hitch height. This shank was exactly what I needed. The shank arrived in time for our maiden trip. Thanks for the quick turnaround on my order.

by:

Works perfect for my truck with a 4 inch differential drop lift kit and 35 inch tires.

by:

Excellent and friendly service. The new shank works great with my Equalizer hitch system; it allowed me to lower my hitch the three inches I needed with my new truck. Solid steel and well made.

by:

Fantastic service. Said it would arrive on Monday but it arrived on Thursday, 2 day service. Also the price was very good. This is the second time I've ordered from etrailer.com, who needs the other online store.

by:

Appears very heavy duty, solid metal. Very fast on shipment and notifications. Fit well for equalizer hitch.

by:

I ordered the wrong product, but etrailer sent me a return label and fixed my mess. They even paid for the shipping for my error. I could not be happier!!! Thanks etrailer!

by:

Bought a new truck and needed a longer shank. Product as described and the videos and measurements available at etrailer made the selection easy. Super fast shipping. Will buy from again.

by:

Works as I needed to drop my Reese wd hitch. This thing is solid steel and is pretty heavy didn't expect to be this soli. Seems to be a good product that's built right here in the US .

by:

Great customer service as usual. Their reps are always so cordial and helpful. They have always answered my questions and assisted me in completing my orders. Their prices are usually better than any others that I have researched. I will always buy from etrailer.

by:

Very good quality and great prices. Pleasure doing business with etrailer.com. Thanks

by:

We haven’t had the need to raise the ball, but we were able to get the drop we needed for out 1975 Airstream.

by:

Received promptly. Just as shown. Too bad I ended up not needing.
etrailer sent me a return label with no hassle.
Thanks.

  • Recommendation For Weight Distribution With Sway Control For 28 Foot Enclosed Trailer
In order to get the right Weight Distribution (WD) system for your towing setup, you will need to know your actual Tongue Weight (TW) when fully loaded and ready to tow. You will also need to include any weight from behind the rear axle of your tow vehicle. As you determine this weight, keep in mind that the TW is 10% to 15% of the total loaded weight of your trailer. A great tool to help with determining your tongue weight is the etrailer Trailer Tongue Weight Scale, Item # e99044. After...

  • Trailer Riding High at Trailer Hitch on 2011 Ford F-150 with Equal-i-zer Weight Distribution System
It sounds like you simply need to move to a greater drop position with the included adjustable shank on your Equal-i-zer Weight Distribution System # EQ37100ET. If you are able to use a lower setting on the shank, this should resolve the issue. If you find you need more drop than what your existing shank offers, you can also replace it with one like the # EQ90-02-4300 that provides up to a 6 inch drop. You should also to check to make sure that the load in your trailer is properly distributed....

  • How to Select Correct Weight Distribution Shank to Allow Towing Trailer Properly Level
Selecting the correct ball mount (or weight distribution shank) in order to keep your towed trailer level is important since level trailers tow much better. I linked a helpful article that explains how to measure to find the ball mount/shank with the correct amount of drop. I also contacted Jayco to see if they could tell me the coupler height on the JayFeather 22RB with its standard tire size. I was able to speak to a tech who advised the ball coupler height is 21-inches. Just measure...

  • Weight Distribution System Recommendation For 2019 Chevy Silverado Pulling Travel Trailer
We recommend using a weight distribution system when the trailer weighs 50 percent or more of the vehicle weight or if the rear of the vehicle is sagging. It's best that your total tongue weight (sum of your trailer tongue weight and cargo) falls in the middle of your weight distribution hitch range. This gives you a bit of wiggle room if your tongue weight varies between trips. Also if your weight distribution system is rated too high, you will will have a rigid ride while the opposite...

  • Trailer Still Sways with Equal-i-zer Weight Distribution System on a 2018 Ford F-150
Installing an anti-sway bar on your 2018 Ford F-150 is not going to do much of anything for trailer sway as trailer sway starts on the trailer, not the truck. In order to hammer down what is causing the trailer to sway I first need to know which Equal-i-zer Weight Distribution System you have. You should be using part # EQ37100ET which is rated for 600 lbs - 1,000 lbs. If you are not then that could very well be part of the problem as there won't be enough tension on the spring bars to...

  • Recommended Weight Distribution Hitch for Gulfstream Vista Cruiser
We have the perfect weight distribution system for you, but in order to ensure you get the correctly rated system, you will need to know your total tongue weight (TTW), which is the tongue weight of your fully loaded and ready to go trailer plus the weight of any cargo behind the rear axle of your 2004 Toyota Sequoia. The ideal system would be one in which your TTW falls somewhere in the middle of the weight distribution system's tongue weight capacity. For your Gulfstream 23 Vista Cruiser...

  • Shank Recommendation for Equal-i-Zer Weight Distribution for Additional Drop
Yes there are weight distribution shanks that give you the additional drop you'll need so that your trailer can be towed level. Since you most likely have the # EQ90-02-4500 which is what comes with the Equal-i-Zer kits the shank we offer that would give you a few more inches of drop would be the part # EQ90-02-4300 and you'd be set.

It has a 6" drop but with the addition of the 2-5/16" Curt RockerBall # C82KR it has a raised base so you will end up with a 4.5" drop. • Recommended Weight Distribution Sway Control for 2020 Jayco Jay Flight SLX
According to my research, the tongue weight of your new Jayco Jay Flight will be somewhere between 1000-1350 lbs, so you'll want to be sure to get a system that can handle that tongue weight. Also, because travel trailers are especially vulnerable to sway caused by oncoming or passing traffic, it's pretty crucial that you use a weight distribution system that has an integrated sway control component. • Recommended Weight Distribution/Sway Control for 8700 lb Travel Trailer Pulled With Lifted Truck
Since you have a pretty long camper, it'll be pretty susceptible to trailer sway caused by cross winds and oncoming or passing traffic. A large camper with tall sides acts like a big sail on a boat which is why using a weight distribution system with a good integrated sway control component is highly recommended. If you already have the RoadActive Suspension system # RAS4611 installed in your 2012 Suburban and you still have rear sag when your camper is hitched I recommend using a weight distribution/sway control (WD/SC) system if you do not already have one. You could add Timbrens but WD is a better option. • Weight Distribution System Recommendation For A 2018 Chevy Colorado Pulling A 4,147lbTravel Trailer
I would recommend a weight distribution system for this application. You will notice in many towing situations that vehicles sag in the rear under the downward force of the trailer coupler. This can cause lift to the front of the vehicle and that increases the chance of sway and lessens towing safety. If the 4147lbs is the dry weight of your travel trailer, that's a good start but you will need to know your fully loaded, ready to tow weight if you don't have that. A scale like the...
