The items are great. A sturdier box or packaging would definitely help in not loading any items. My two items were inside but does look like the receiver shank came out through opening on side of box

by:

Product is fine. Your packing need A LOT OF IMPROVEMENT!!!
box was busted to hell and back with a 30lbs piece of metal just clanked around in an oversized box with 2 small sheets of packing paper.

by:

Good fast delivery

by:

No issues at all. Has been a great drop bar for my weight distribution hitch!

by:

After a year of camping, the shank is doing its job!

by:

The quality of the part is good and it works as intended. E-trailer's shipping was very quick. We received the part in 3 days with standard shipping. I was very impressed with the quality of the packaging. This heavy item was secured tightly inside the cardboard box so it couldn't move around and potentially damage the box from the inside while in transit. I wish more online retailers would pay as much attention to packaging product.

Product is performing well

by:

Love the product, wish however that there was another cross hole for the receiver; it protrudes too much and worries me about leverage even with a weight distributing hitch.

Love the product after this past year. Ive seen others state they wish there was another cross hole. That was a concern of mine, however theres not enough room due to a spare on my vehicle, and theres been no problems with the unit and its extension from the vehicle.

by:

Exactly what I needed for my trailer. Fast shipping. Another great experience with trailer!

Still working great!

by:

This worked well with my sway bar installation, although it is limited to fifteen hundred pounds tongue weight and I would have preferred 1700 pounds to match the tongue weight capacity of our truck.

by:

Works great with the Reese trunnion bar hitch. Gave me the height needed to level the trailer.

by:

Good product at a good price. Will be used with a Reese Strait-Line hitch on a 2006 Suburban 2500 pulling an 11,500 lb GVWR travel trailer.

by:

worked well with my 8000lb Toy Hauler. Was able to adjust hitch height to the right level

by:

great have no problem pulling my 32ft travel trailer or my car trailer.

by:

just like it was described.. Came quickly, in perfect condition... Best place toshop on the internet is etrailer.com

by:

good quality and appreciate the recessed design -- as it helps to reduce total weight of the hitch assembly.

by:

I received my order very quickly and part is exactly as described. I have always been very pleased with etrailer.

by:

Item shipped quickly, communication was amazing, and item was exactly what I was looking for. I have ordered all my trailering needs from etrailer for quite sometime now and will continue to do so!!

by:

Completed my hitch setup. Just what I needed. Gets lots of use. Good service as always.

by:

Good job on order the product and fast shipping even on Sunday got it on Tuesday

by:

Puts the WD Hitch at the correct height.

by:

An excellent, heavy duty piece of equipment, my second one!!!

The products are still working hard for me without failure. Great product!!

by:

Nice product, unfortunatley not designed to work with the Round Bar Head we purchased.

by:

It is what I needed, have a 1200lb. on my camp trailer

by:

As advertised, no issues

  • Weight Distribution Setup with Sway Control for a 6,500 LB, 600 LB TW Trailer On 2009 Chevy 1500 4wd
I would recommend the Reese Strait-Line Hitch 800 lbs TW / 12,000 lbs GTW, item # RP66073, this is the best system we have and actually works to keep sway from happening rather than stop it after it starts like other systems. The tongue weight that you mentioned falls right in the middle of the weight rating for this system so it is the perfect match for your trailer and would allow you to upgrade in the future if needed. Along with the weight distribution system you will need a weight...

  • Recommended Weight Distribution/Sway Control for 2007 Chevrolet Avalanche Towing 7500-lb Trailer
We can help you select a weight distribution/sway control system for your 2007 Chevrolet Avalanche and 7500-lb camper trailer. The key to choosing a weight distribution/sway control (WD/SC) system is to know the trailer's actual fully-loaded road-ready tongue weight, with all gear and supplies in place. To this you'll add the weight of anything in the truck bed that sits behind the rear axle, such as a loaded cooler or generator. The linked article offers ways to measure TW, including...

  • What is the Tongue Weight Capacity of the Reese Weight Distribution Shank, # RP54970
The Reese Weight Distribution Shank, # RP54970, itself is rated at 1,500 pounds. However, it can only be rated as high as the lowest rated component in the system. So, for example, if the spring bars are the lowest rated part at 1,200 pounds, then you will need to go by that limit. I have included a link to our weight distribution FAQ article for you.

  • Weight Distribution for a 2012 Ford F-150 and 9,300 Pound Trailer
To choose a weight distribution system you will need to go by the total tongue weight of the set up. This is calculated by taking the tongue weight of the trailer, when loaded and ready to tow, and adding to that the weight of anything loaded behind the rear axle of the tow vehicle. So if the 1200 to 1280 pounds includes any weight behind the rear axle of your 2012 Ford F-150 then I recommend going with the Reese Strait-Line system rated for 800 to 1500 pounds, # RP66130. The dual-cam...

  • What Weight Distribution System Will Work On a 2006 Kia Sedona Towing A 1967 Rolite Power Camper
The Reese Strait-Line Weight Distribution Hitch, # RP66073, has a tongue weight capacity of between 400 lbs. and 800 lbs. so it is at the upper end of the weight that you will be carrying. The drawback to this is that it may produce a slightly stiffer ride than a system that is rated for something like 200 lbs. to 600 lbs. For your 2006 Kia Sedona towing a 3,000 lbs. camper I would recommend the Reese Strait-Line Weight Distribution Hitch, # RP66072, which has a 200 lbs. to 600 lbs. tongue...

  • Weight Distribution Recommendation for a 2007 Chevy Suburban and 2009 Jayco JF28bhs
As long as the weight distribution system that you have is rated for the tongue weight of the trailer when loaded and ready to tow then you should have no troubles. When calculating tongue weight, you will need to have the trailer loaded and ready to tow and then add the weight of anything loaded behind the rear axle of the tow vehicle on top of that to get the total tongue weight. Tongue weight is typically between 10 and 15 percent of gross trailer weight. Make sure that the trailer...

  • Recommendation of Brake Controller and Weight Distribution For a 2000 Chevrolet Silverado
For your 2000 Chevrolet Silverado the brake controller I would recommend is the Tekonsha Prodigy P2 Brake Controller, part # 90885. This is a proportional brake controller which means it applies power to the trailers brakes in proportion to vehicles braking action. It is our best selling controller, and is easy to use and set up. I am including a link to the instructions on the Prodigy P2 brake controller. If you have a factory 7-Way connector on the rear of your truck you will only need...

If you have the space in front of your AC Condenser then you will be able to mount the cooler. You will also need to make sure that there is room for the oil filter to be spaced out 2 inches away from the bottom of where it is now located. • Weight Distribution with Sway Control for 9,200 Pound Trailer and 1,125 Pound Tongue Weight
With a tongue weight of 1,125 pounds, you will need a weight distribution with sway control system that has a tongue weight capacity range that encompasses your trailers tongue weight. A system that has a max capacity of 1,200 pounds, like # RP66560, that you have referenced, does not offer enough of a cushion as tongue weight could fluctuate, so it is better to go to the next larger system. I also recommend a system that uses dual-cam sway control. Dual-cam systems are superior to friction...

The Air Lift Helper Rear Coil Springs # AL60814 is the better choice for reducing the strain on your 2011 Dodge Grand Caravan's suspension while maintaining a slightly smoother ride for your passengers when you're not towing. I can help you get set up with all the right equipment for towing a travel trailer with your 2015 Toyota Tundra Crew Max. A weight distribution system is recommended if the gross vehicle weight (GVW) of the trailer is more than 50 percent of the GVW of your vehicle. It would be best to go with a system with a wider range. For your trailer, I recommend the Reese Strait-Line # RP66072 weight distribution hitch with built in sway control. • Recommended Weight Distribution System For Trailer Towed With 2015 Toyota Tacoma
The first thing you want to check out is the weight capacity of your trailer hitch with a weight distribution system. The capacity of a hitch can change when you use a WD system. We do carry the same system in a kit that does include the shank. Take a look at the Strait-Line Weight Distribution System, # RP66087. • Recommended Reese Strait-Line for 2022 Silverado 2500 Towing Forest River Cherokee 294RR
The Reese Strait-Line system should be chosen according to your loaded tongue weight. Ideally you want your actual tongue weight to fall in the middle of the tongue weight range of the weight distribution hitch. Since your dry tongue weight is 1,180 lbs the # RP66084 isn't rated high enough. You will be over the 1,200 lb max once you add propane and batteries. Based on your GVWR and dry weight you more than likely will be able to use the # RP66130. This has a tongue weight range of 1,000-1,500...

The 1/4 inch difference would be nothing to worry about, as the truck would settle a bit once the trailer is hitched.
