Curt Heavy Duty Forged Ball Mount Review C53JR- Video
Hello neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer, and today we're taking a look at the Curt heavy-duty forged ball mount for a 2-inch hitch with a 2 5/16 ball and a 6-inch drop. Now the glory of this ball mount here is it does come with the ball and the ball's actually gonna be pre-torqued onto there. And that's something that people don't really consider until they have to torque down their ball because you need a torque wrench that's gonna have that torque setting that's gonna go high enough and also a socket that can fit on here. And a lot of times you're trying to use a wrench on top and torque this down, so it can be a little bit tricky to make sure that they're properly torqued. So having this already torqued down is one less step that you'll have to do. Now, this is a 6-inch drop. more

Now, this is a extremely heavy-duty ball mount. And what's really nice about this is the 2 5/16 ball comes installed, which doesn't seem like a big deal until you realize you need to torque these down. So, having that torque wrench that goes up to those settings and a socket that's large enough can be kind of tricky and you may require getting tools. more

Hello neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer, and today we're taking a look at the Weigh Safe 180 2-ball trailer hitch for a 3-inch hitch. Now this is gonna have an 8 inch rise as well as an 8 inch drop. So when you tow multiple different trailers sometimes it's really inconvenient to have to carry around a bunch of different hitches and different ball sizes to accommodate whatever trailer that you're actually hooking up to. That's where this 180 comes in place because, as the name implies, you can actually flip this around and go from a 2 5/16 ball to a 2 inch ball pretty quickly. And the great part about this is it's also locked in place, whereas a lot of your other adjustable ball mounts will have two pins and they kind of can be cumbersome because they're heavy. Now, this forged ball Mount includes a two and 5/16 inch in diameter, Chrome plated Pretor hitch ball that's going to fit a two inch square trailer hitch receiver. And this ball Mount provides again, a six inch drop from the top of the inside of your hitch opening. And it is a solid one piece forged steel construction. It has a gross towing weight of 15,000 pounds, but do remember that a towing setup is always limited by its lowest rated component. more

Now this solid heavy-duty channel-style adjustable ball mount with sway control drop ball mount attachment, and this two inch ball provides a wide range of adjustability. These sway control tabs have 5/8 of an inch diameter holes that are going to accept your basic sway control arm bars and mini balls. Of course, those are sold separately, and this includes two easy-to-remove pins with these large rings that I can easily fit up to four of my fingers through. So no problems with grabbing hold of these when you're ready to remove them, no more fumbling with small hitch pin heads and these rings can be folded in either direction, if you need to get them out of your way. And also there are large safety clips, it's gonna make securing and removing these clips very easy. more

So, you want to make sure that it's going to be able to fit your hitch receiver that you have. And this is going to be a very, very heavy duty ball mount. What's up everybody, Adam here with etrailer. Today we're going to be taking a look at the Curt three inch ball mount. So this is a big boy. This is for your three inch hitch receivers and it's made a forged steel so it's going to be extremely strong, getting us a gross trailer weight of 21,000 pounds and a max tongue weight of 2,800 pounds. So this is going to be able to be used in two different ways. Brophy Trailer Hitch Ball Mount Review- Video
Today, we're gonna be taking a look at the Brophy Ball Mount. This is gonna be for your two-inch hitch receivers, and it is gonna have a capacity of 7,500 pounds gross trailer weight and 750 pounds of tongue weight. This is gonna give us an aggressive drop, about 10 inches, and this can only be used in no drop position. One thing about any ball mounts that has a 10-inch drop, we are going to cut the hitches capacity by a third. So my hitch right here is rated for 12,000 pounds. So with the 10-inch drop, I'm only gonna be able to haul about 8,000 pounds with the hitch receiver, which actually isn't a big deal just because the ball mount is rated for 7500 and 750. more

Curt Class III Drawbar Review- Video
Today we're going to be taking a look at the Curt trailer ball mount. So this ball mount is going to have a capacity of 7,500 pounds, and that's just for the gross trailer weight, but the tongue weight on this is going to be 750 pounds. It's gonna be for your two inch hitch receiver. Make sure that you have a two inch hitch receiver, because the shank is two inches. The shank is actually hollow, so what we can do, is I would definitely suggest grabbing an anti-rattle device that goes on the inside here, and it's threaded, so you're going to need to get a hitch pin and clip anyway. So if you grab the anti-rattle system, it's going to thread in there, take out all of the play, but you're already going to need a hitch pin. more

So this ball mount is gonna give us a one inch rise, or a two inch drop, and it is gonna have a capacity of 10,000 pounds, gross trailer weight, and a tongue weight of 1000 pounds. Whenever you grab a ball mount, you just want to make sure that it's going to work with your hitch receiver. Just make sure you have a two inch hitch receiver. One thing you're going to need to grab is a hitch pin and clip. The hole is about 5/8 in diameter. more
