Availability of a 3 inch on 4 Bolt Mounting Flange Brake Assembly

Question:

Looking to replace drum brakes on my boat trailer. 32 ft Tri axle. 3500 axles. Problem is the backing plate spacing is 3x3inch on 4 holes. It.s an old trailer 1987. Do I need to switch axles? Couldnt find that spacing only 4x4 Thanks,

Your easiest solution would be to replace your axles, we don't carry any brake assemblies that will bolt up to a 4 on 3 inch bolt pattern so you would be looking at either replacing the spindles on your trailer which would be kind of a pain, or to just replace the axles all together.

We carry one 3,500 lb axle with brake assemblies and drums already installed on it. For that you would want the # 35545E-ST-89. But you would need to make sure the dimensions of this axle match what you need. This axle has a hub face to hub face dimension of 89 inches and a leaf spring center to center measurement of 74 inches. If this doesn't match what you need you would need to find a local trailer shop to have the axles ordered in.
