Snow Chain Recommendation for a 2014 Mercedes CLS 550
Question:
I have a quick question in reference to good snow chains/cables. I have a 2014 Mercedes CLS 550 with19in rims and Im getting ready to move to Watertown NY next month. That place gets a lot of snow and Im looking for an alternate way to deal with the snow instead of buying a set of snow tires. Which cables or snow chains should I get? also do I need to get a set for the front too or just only the back tires. thank you for your time. I look forward to hearing from you.

The first place to look is the owners manual of your 2014 Mercedes CLS 550, you need to check to make sure there are no restrictions on snow chain usage with your vehicle. If chains are recommended only for one (or both) axles it will be listed there as well.
Since you are moving to an area that will get plenty of snow on a regular basis you are going to want a set of chains that will give you good traction, will last a while, and will be easy to install.
For that I would recommend the # TH2004205104. These will do everything I mentioned and won't break the bank some other chains can. I also had the chance to install a set like this recently and was surprised at how easy it was to install them.
I also attached an FAQ article on snow chains for you to check out. If you find out that you can't use chains on your vehicle snow tires are a great option. I have a set I throw on my car in the winter and I have no problem getting around.
