If you are planning on driving in heavy snowfall with your 2021 Subaru Forester with your standard 225/55-18 tires, I strongly recommend tire chains over socks and cables. The reason why is because socks and cables are only recommended for light/shallow snowfall and will not provide you with as much traction in heavy snow.

With that being said, I recommend the Konig Standard Snow Tire Chains - Diamond Pattern - D Link # TH01221104. The great thing about the Konig standard chains is that they come with built-in tensioners that allow you to easily control the tightness of the chains to your tires. This is a nice feature because many other tire chain models require an additional part for this ability. For heavy snow, the dual-sided, D-shape links allow for increased traction. Along with the chains, it comes with a durable storage container, a kneeling mat, gloves, and mounting instructions included.
