What Dimensions Are Needed When Replacing Electric Brakes On Trailer  

Question:

i have a 28 ft enclosed trailor made in 1988 with electric brakes ..it has 15 in. wheels with 6 lug nuts..made by wells cargo...can you tell me what brake kit i need for it........

You will need to take a couple of measurements to find the correct brake assemblies for your 1988 enclosed trailer. You will need to find a brake assembly that works with your brake mounting flange and also with the drum diameter and depth. I have attached a photo with the areas noted that need to be measured.

I have attached a link to a helpful article that explains what is needed to add electric brakes to a trailer, and also a video that shows how to remove and replace trailer brake shoes.
