If the 4-Way did not come on the truck from the factory, then there probably will not be a brake controller connector under the dash. Even if it is a factory 4-Way, not all of the 2005-2007 Ram trucks that were equipped with a 4-Way from the factory had a brake controller connector. Your truck may not have one. If you have one, it should be under the dash, just to the right of the emergency brake pedal. I have added a link to a help article about installing a brake controller on Dodge trucks.

Part # HM42137 can be used to wire a 7-Way into the bed of your truck for a fifth wheel. You will need to check at the rear of the truck to make sure there are the proper connectors available. If you find a brake controller port underneath the dash, then the 7-Way connection should be at the rear of the truck.

If the wiring is not there, you will need to use a kit like part # ETBC7 to install a 7-Way and provide the necessary wiring. It seems like a lot, but if you break it down into a step-by-step process it can be handled fairly easily.

We have a video of a start to finish install of a brake controller and 7-Way system on a 1999 Ram in case you do not have the brake controller port or factory pre-wired 7-Way connectors.
