Recommended 7-way Connector and Trailer Brake Controller For 2003 Dodge Ram 1500
Question:
Sirs I will be installing a trailer brake anc my question is, I have 3 other trailers that do not use brakes so do I just add a extra plug for brakes so it doesn’t interfere with other trailer lights? Thanks

That is a great question.
To install a trailer brake controller in your 2003 Dodge Ram 1500 with a 4-way connector currently installed I recommend the # ETBC7 which will plug into your existing 4-way connector and give you a 4-way and 7-way connector so you will be able to tow all of your trailer without an issue.
You will need to make 3 more connections for the # ETBC7 to work. The black wire will get extended to the positive terminal of your battery with the included 40 amp circuit breaker, the blue wire will get extended to underneath the dash of your truck where the controller will be mounted, and the white wire will get grounded to the frame.
If you are undecided on a trailer brake controller I highly recommend the Tekonsha Prodigy P3 # 90195 due to it being an extremely reliable controller with great features like an easy to read LCD screen and built in diagnostics that are easy to read and understand.
I included videos of both of the products mentioned for you to take a look at.
