Should the 12 Volt Circuit On the Adapter 4 Pole to 7 Pole with Test Lamps Stay On All the Time
Question:
Hello ,I have my black wire connected directly to the battery and the 12 volt light on test lights stays on all the time? I did not put the circuit breaker on , only a fuse , could that be it.

In regards to the Adapter 4 Pole to 7 Pole and 4 Pole w/Test Lamps part # C57674, the 12 volt power circuit (black wire) will remain active at all times if connected directly to the battery. That said, the LED on the trailer connector doesn't draw enough power to drain the battery if that is what you are worried about. If you only want the circuit active while the vehicle is running then you will need to install the Battery Isolation Solenoid part # PK5231201 which works as an automatic cutoff switch.

There have been several questions concerning the 12v light remaining on for the Curt C57674 4-way to 7-way connector because of the direct connection to the battery. Is that also true when only using the 4-way connector and not the black wire to the battery?
