Can a K4 Blazer or Other Vehicle Other Than a Truck Tow a 5th Wheel or Gooseneck Trailer

Question:

With a 5th wheel trailer that has a goose neck installed, is there any way with a convertaball or other system that a K4 blazzer can be used instead of a pickup. I have a ccuv with pintel hook My guess is no, since all the ID plaques Ive seen on Gov issues vehicles show hitch in bed,

I am glad you asked. There is no way to directly tow a 5th wheel or gooseneck trailer with anything other than a truck. The hitch and the weight of the trailer where it connects to the hitch has to be direct above or slightly forward of the center of the rear axle. There is no way to do that on any other vehicle other than a truck.

However, there are products out there that will allow other vehicles to tow 5th wheel trailers. It is called an Automated Safety Hitch. Look those up on the internet to get an idea of what you would need to tow a 5th wheel or gooseneck trailer with the K4 Blazer.
