How to Pick Out Replacement Hub/Drums and Brake Assemblies for 1996 Fleetwood Wilderness Trailer

Gentlemen. I am in the process of restoring a 1996 Fleetwood Wilderness Travel Trailer model 19-LN. I need to replace the brakes and drums. Would you have any idea of what size brakes I may have short of me trying to measure the drums? The camper has 14x5.5inch wheels and a GVWR of 4700 pounds. It has dual Dexter axles, front and rear GWVR ratings of 2800 pounds each. I have a Dexter service manual which came with the trailer but it doesnt help me in identifying which size breaks I have. It sounds like it could be one of three sizes. Thanks.

Most likely you have 10 inch brake assemblies and the correct brake assemblies you would need would be the part # AKEBRK-35R-SA for the right hand side and part # AKEBRK-35L-SA for the left hand side since you have a 2,800 lb Dexter axle. However, the only real way to be sure is to pull your hub off and measure the inside of the drum like in the picture I attached.
In order to pick out the correct hub assembly for a trailer you are going to need to know a few key pieces of information. The first thing you will need to know is the bolt pattern of your hubs. This is so you get a hub that is compatible with your wheels. I attached an FAQ article on determining bolt pattern for you to check out.
Next thing you will need to know is what spindle you have on your trailer. In order to do that you can either get the inner and outer bearing numbers from a hub or use a dial caliper to get exact measurements of the spindle. The measurements needed are the parts of the spindle where the bearings ride.

You would want to first select the bolt pattern that you have, next select the inner bearing you have, followed by selecting your outer bearing, and then all the correct hubs will be listed.
