Can Reese Friction Sway Control Kit # 83660 Be Used on Either Side of the Trailer

Wondering.....if you would use 2 sway control units ...is there a different control for the right and the left side or are they the same ? Thx

If your trailer's gross towing weight is between 6,000 and 10,000 pounds or if your trailer is 26 foot or longer, you will need two sway-control units, one on either side of the trailer.

The Reese Friction Sway Control Kit, # 83660, can be used on either the left or right hand side of the trailer. For left hand installation you will just need to remove the slide bar and reinstall it upside down. I have attached the installation instructions for you as well as a video and FAQ on sway control.

I do not have any specific information about Coleman pre-drilling their frames, but from the general location of the holes shown in your photo and the way the holes are configured, I would be willing to bet those holes are for a friction sway control…
