No Brake Light Signal on 2000 Chevy Silverado Trailer Connector
Question:
i have brake lights on truck ,but no brake lights on truck plug in ,i was told it is the modulite ,where is this modulite on truck ,this truck came from chev. wired

If the 4 pole on the truck is factory installed, and you aren't getting any signal on the trailer connector when the brake pedal is pressed a blown fuse is the most likely culprit. Check the under-hood fuse box for a blown fuse. The lid of the fuse box should have a diagram on it that shows which fuse protects which circuit.
If there is a blown fuse, it could have been caused by a short in the wiring of the trailer. Once the fuse is located and replaced, be sure to closely examine the wiring on the trailer to make sure there aren't any pinched wires or wires with worn or cracked insulation that would allow the wire to short out on the trailer frame.
