Suspension Enhancement Recommendation for a 2013 Toyota Tacoma with Slide in Camper

Question:

looking for a suspension upgrade for my tacoma. I am getting a slide in camper that will come on and off the truck. it will weigh around 500lbs but fully loaded with cargo etc. will be close to the max payload. i will use this off road as well. what solution should i go for. i have seen the timberins. will that be enough or should i look into adding a leaf? Thanks

The first thing you should know about suspension enhancement is that it does not give you additional weight carrying capacity beyond what Toyota recommends for your 2013 Toyota Tacoma. So you will need to stay under this capacity with you camper plus all of your cargo.

A Timbren system like the part # TTORTUN4 that you referenced would be an ideal solution for you. This will give you additional suspension support for the weight of your camper and also won't affect your ride quality when the camper is out of your truck bed.

I attached an FAQ article on Timbren systems for you to check out as well.
