Availability of Hitch Receiver Cover for Class V 2-1/2 Inch Hitch Receiver
Question:
Hi, I am looking for a receiver cover for the Class V hitch receiver on my Ram 2500. The receiver is 2 1/2inch square hole, and all I can find are covers for 2inch receivers. Do you have anything that will fit the Class V?

Expert Reply:
We have one hitch cover for 2-1/2 inch hitches, # C22277, which you reference, but if you have your eye on a particular hitch cover that's available in a 2 inch version, you can use a reducer sleeve like # 58102, in your 2-1/2 inch hitch to make it a 2 inch in order to use any 2" hitch cover.
I also recommend a locking hitch pin # e98881 to secure the cover and to deter theft. I've linked you to our selection of hitch covers that are compatible with 2 inch receivers.
