Can a 2012 Ram 1500 Tow a Trailer with Dry Weight of 8,358 lbs and Pin Weight of 1,892 lbs
Question:
i own and 2012 Dodge Ram 1500 Big horn 4x4 with 64inch box and am looking at a 5th wheel trailer 2014 cross roads cruiser cf315lk. what i would like to know will my truck pull this trailer dry weight 8358 and pin weight of 1892. I have talked to the sales man at the trailer dealer ship and of course he tells me i can tow it but want some expert advise. I have tried to find the GCWR but cant find it anywhere on my truck or in the manual. thanks

According to the research I did, your max trailer weight you can tow with your 2012 Ram 1500 is 8,150 lbs and the max weight you can tow in the bed of your truck is 1,146 lbs. I would strongly recommend you do your own research though by either contacting a Ram dealer or look further in your owner's manual.
Based on the dry weights of the trailer you are interested in this trailer would be too heavy. You would either need to find a lighter trailer or upgrade your truck.
