Method to Support Tongue of Rented 6 x 12 Enclosed Trailer for Temporary Storage
Question:
Hello, Im renting a 6x12 enclosed trailer if you happen to be familiar with them soon, and need a way to support the trailer with cargo so that its freestanding, as Ill need to temporarily separate it from the hitch. Do you sell anything for this? Ive never towed anything before, Im not sure if people just use a cinder block or a jackstand or something... Thanks for your help.

If there is no tongue jack installed on the 6 x 12 enclosed A-frame trailer you are renting you can certainly install one to allow safe storage while the trailer is uncoupled from your tow vehicle. A cinder block or stacked lumber are commonly used for stationary long-term storage applications but a safer route is to install a tongue jack such as # PSEA20000103 and mount to it either a caster # PS1400750340 which will allow you to maneouver the trailer for hitching it to your vehicle, or a foot plate # PS1400700340. You will need to supply grade 5 or higher hardware to bolt on the jack; this should be available at any local hardware store.
